I have had hereditary chemical imbalance in the limbic system of the brain and have been diagnosed bipolar. It affects stress and hormones in the body. Menopause threw me into abnormal time of wanting to end the pain. I went an internal medicine doctor, open to natural therapy, and he helped immensely. He put me on a regimen for thyroid, and hormorne therapy B12- needless to say it normalized my life. I had panic attacks, insomnia, and pain before all this therapy. I sleep regular now with no panic attacks, and the pain is subdued a lot. I am very sensitive to chemical medication. What I understand is this NASEM study did not take current patients or medical professionals input before completing the study. Please do not put regulations on this valuable therapy that helps many others like me.

cBHT has made my life better by knowing that the medication is tailored for me by blood work from my OBGYN. I had side effects from pharmaceuticals and none from cBHT. These medications have given me my life back and I do not have to worry coming from pharmaceutical companies and I trust my pharmacist who make my medication for menopause.

I have PCOS and have only experienced relief from my symptoms after starting cBHT. My mood is much more stable, I no longer suffer from chronic inflammation, and my periods are regular now. Nothing else worked for me and I want to be able to continue with my treatment for as long as I need to.

If this really does no harm then why restrict this? My doctor closely monitors my blood work to keep my thyroid as well other hormones that I administer by a cream. It helps with my well-being. It appears that the FDA continues to try and put these small compound pharmacies out of business. I suffered from chronic bronchitis for years taking medicines that the large pharmacy pushed. I was allergic to filler in the product. I went to specialists and found no relief until my primary doctor and I tried different medication. My symptoms disappeared in two weeks. If there had not been a local compounding pharmacy, I would still be suffering. Again, it is a combination of compounded prescriptions that I get at my own expense that keeps me healthy, which includes hormone therapy. Please do not take this choice from me as what is approved may not be the best solution for me. My doctor re-evaluates every three-six months and will tweak the prescription as necessary.

I was on traditional hormone replacement therapy following a total hysterectomy. I was not feeling right at all and went to a new doctor who adjusted my hormones to me individually by looking at my saliva test results and prescribing bioidentical hormones in a compounded cream that I apply topically. The difference was and is life changing and astounding. That was many years ago and I still go to that doctor and still use BHRT. I live an active lifestyle and feel and function better than many women much younger than me. I cannot imagine being forced back to using another method.

My doctor, through blood work, determined I had low testosterone. I had no energy, no sex drive, and do desire to do much of anything but sit. My doctor prescribed Androgel, and I used two pumps once a day. My quality of life got much better. I wanted to be active once again, and my blood work showed normal levels of testosterone once again. The cost was about $50 per month on the insurance that I had at the time. When I went on Medicare, Part C the cost of the Androgel rose to $700 per month, and I could no longer afford it. I switched to compounded testosterone at a cost of about $45 per month. My blood work still shows normal levels of testosterone and I still feel the same as when I was on the Androgel, which is good.

I was on Levothyroxine for three years and symptoms persisted. I continued to have heart palpitations, dizziness, exhaustion and thyroid levels were not ideal. cBHT has helped me optimize my thyroid function. And the symptoms went away. I feel great.

I had a hysterectomy at 37 years of age. I had constant struggles with vaginal dryness, vaginal erosion, tears, urinary issues. I went through years of trying RX estrogen therapies, vaginal rings, creams, OTC lubricants, some of which carry an increased risk of cancer and thrombosis. Removing this option removes the control that my doctor and I have over my health when using BHT.

Prior to cBHT, my life was miserable. I didn't know how miserable until I discovered how good I was capable of feeling with cBHT. I was constantly tired, hot flashes and night sweats contributed to sleeplessness and fatigue, weight gain, mood swings, were just a few of the syptoms. I was afraid of any hormone replacement treatments because of the increased risk of breast cancer and other cancers. Every study I researched concluded of higher risks associated with the synthetic hormone treatments. I have never been one to take any prescribed medication unless it actually treats the cause of the symptom and any side effect is of less severity than the original problem being treated. I agreed to try cBHT when I discovered that it is derived from plant based hormones which are naturally occuring rather than urine from a pregnant horse which is used in synthetics. The hormones are the most identical to my own. In addition, the prescribed dosage and application of administering can be customized to my specific dosage and needs. Customized dosages are not available with HRT as they are "pre-manufactured" and must be taken in only the dosages that are made. This means, I may have more or less progesterone or estrogen than my body needs. As long as my hormones remain out of balance, there is no healing in my body to restore natural balance and thus necesitates a perpetual dependency on the HRT. In comparison, the cBHT can be prescribed to the exact dosage my body requires to restore my own natural hormonal balance, thus allowing my body to heal through the post menopausal phase and eventually eliminating the need for any hormone therapy. I have never voiced my opinion or would even consider putting my personal information out there for others to review except for the fact that my life has been drastically improved because of the cBHT and I don't want to go back to having no therapy at all. For me it is either the cBHT or nothing. I WILL NOT use synthetic HRT.

I have been taking cBHT for over 15 years to alleviate menopause symptoms. Twice I have stopped taking cBHT as a test to determine if the medications were still needed. Almost immediately, my symptoms came back. So, my plan is to take cBHT for the remainder of my life. As a vegan, Premarin is not an option for me. If cBHT were not available to me, I would not take synthetic hormones, therefore, my quality of life would definitely be changed in a negative way.
