“No side effects”
So many meds have side effects. I’ve been using compounded hormones for 10 years with no problems whatsoever. Many people like me rely on these medications to feel good.

“My osteoporosis has improved - I am building bone mass, instead of loosing it”
I’ve been using compounded hrt for at least 10 years now with no issues or side effects. My doctor monitors my levels closely and is able to adjust the dosages incrementally if needed. In addition to bone density improvement, I enjoy many other benefits to having functional levels of hormones in my 69 year old body, all without side effects.
The benefits and wellbeing I enjoy do come at a price because insurance does not cover this excellent therapy, but it’s a price I gladly pay to feel so well.

“Low T levels causing havoc”
I am a body builder (novice bikini) and my hormones when crazy. Changing my meals (more red meat) and hormones therapy are all that saved me and have me the energy and sound sleep I needed.

“Balance and peace is needed!”
It makes so much sense….. test what your low in, make a hormone cream to fill in what your missing…. And you feel and act like a normal human again! WHY would the FDA want to take away what works? Please let the absolutely necessary compounding pharmacies still care for us like the pharmacy of the older days… give us what helps and teach and guide us! Not what is mass produced and might “be close” and ineffective. Makes no sense!!

“Neurotoxin Treatment”
Neurotoxin Treatment- At age 44 I ate a serving of fish which contained a neurotoxin called Ciguatera. Immediately I had severe neurological and cardiovascular effects including loss all reproductive hormones and life changing Dysautonomia. After a year I finally received treatment with Estradiol, Progesterone and Testosterone my body began to heal. Without this treatment I would not have been able to continue to work or care for myself. I cannot stress enough how important compounded hormones are to neurological and cardiac function for me. Please protect this highly important treatment options for women and men who need to find balance to maintain health.

“Controls the menopausal hot flashes”
I discovers bioidentical hormones after I read one of Suzanne Sommers’ book. She described experience her menopausal symptoms, weight gain, hot flashes, mood swings, and depression. She didn’t want to take synthetic hrt therapy due to the susceptibility of cancer. She talked about how these natural hormones were formulated to your body chemistry which would cause little to no adverse reactions. I found a provider that supported my beliefs and have been taking estrogen/progesterone bio-identical hormones. It relieved my menopausal symptoms and I can’t live without them. These are virtually my miracle cure.

“Traumatic Brain Injury Patient”
I have Traumatic Brain Injury. These medications allow me to think, walk, and not be in the ER. FDA has no authority over the medications myself and doctor are using for my TBI treatment. Doing so will not only harm my quality of life but will result in death. What authority does the FDA have over my life? None at all. Veterans, Trauma Survivors all Traumatic Brain Injury survivors require these medications to live. No government employee has the authority to determine what we can use to live.

“Changed My Life”
I had resisted traditional HRT and had terrible hot flashes for years. I finally decided to try compounded hormone replacement. Right or wrong, it felt safer to me. And I finally got the relief I’d been hoping for. When my insurance would pay substantially for medication from my regular pharmacy, and I pay out of pocket for my compounded estrogen and progesterone, it’s my testament to my commitment.

“Saved my mental and physical health”
Supplementing with DHEA and testosterone has allowed me to live a full life. I felt like I was losing my mind and health until I started supplementing with hormone therapy. 5 years in and am actually reversing my age. My mood and body are thriving.
“Compound prescription has preserved my quality of life.”
Without my compounded prescription, I have severe medical issues that are not alleviated by conventional drugs. I would not be able to function in day-to-day life as I have tried to "tough it out" for years before allowing my doctor to prescribe the compounded drugs I use. I wasted years of my life and not only did I suffer by my family suffered as well. I beg you not to allow changes in the dispensing and authorization of compounded drugs. If you need more detail as to my medical condition please contact me.

“Tried others”
There are so many benefits that I get from taking my hormones. The most important one I believe is that it helps me with my mood changes. I was post-menopausal for over ten years, I was crying on commercials, movies, sitcom‘s, and even phone calls. As long as put my cream on as directed, I have control and do not cry at stupid things anymore. It makes me feel balanced. When I ran out for more than a week I feel unbalanced. Please don’t touch my Hormones!

“13 yrs of positive results”
CbHRT has been prescribed to me for the rest of my life. Due to surgery removing my ovaries, I am taking the amount of HR that my ovaries would naturally be making if I was 70 years of age. A natural does for post menopausal woman. This is a smaller amount, with all the estrogens, that has currently been unavailable from any other source. If this is taken away I will have to take more hormones than I would want and it would cost me more money. Also, at the time I received them all 3 estrogens were not in the pharmaceutical version. After doing research as to risks of too much hormone VS not enough, I learned that one way increases cancer and the other way heart disease. I have had my doctor formulate the amount for me that balances this risk. I have had zero side effects from this product. During an unrelated hospitalization, they were taken away from me for almost a week because the hospital could not identify them. The symptoms from not having them were physically evident. Please allow people to make their own health choices and have access to medicines they want to try. How about an at your own risk label? Following every suggestion in the report, I imagine, will up the cost of the product significantly making it not affordable to most people. It is not covered by my insurance. I imagine this is the case for others as well.
“Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, Leukocytoclastic vasculitis, chronic uticaria”
My name is Julie. I am 60 years old. I've had 32 surgeries due to my health issues started in my late 30's. I had joint, muscle pain, fatigue, gastrointestinal issues and an over all feeling of un-wellness. I saw many physicians including my family physician, many surgeons, gastrointestinal physicians, 3 different rheumatologists, 3 different allergists, an immunologist/vascular doctor. I was on 15 different prescription medications but, my symptoms kept getting worse. I had hives so big and thick that they hurt down into my bones. They were so bad on my feet that it felt like I was walking on golf balls and had to crawl around the house because of the excruciating pain. The hives would distort my face so badly, I was unrecognizable. They itched and burned as they covered my body leaving huge bruises. The Doctors used Prednisone, multiple oral chemotherapy, high powered antihistamines in quadruple doses to gain control of the hives ravaging my body....to no avail. I was to the point where I didn't want to live. I decided to go to an integrative doctor to see if I could get ANY relief. She compounded bioidentical hormones, thyroid, and Benadryl which help immensely. She did food sensitivity, environmental, chemical, heavy metal testing discovering sensitivities to many of these including: corn, gluten, soy and preservatives in which many of these are fillers in prescriptions. I HAVE to have my meds all compounded to avoid these ingredients that are making me sick. PLEASE DO NOT take the compounding away from me! I cannot function or live without them! My quality of life DEPENDS on them!

“Post breast cancer compounded hormones changed my life”
Compounded hormones changed my life after breast cancer. Regular hormones did not work for me and compounded hormones was life-changing. Without them my life would be miserable. Tailoring medication specifically to one’s name is vitally important and should not be eliminated

“Compounded Progesterone is Amazing!”
After heavy periods & sleep issues for 2 years, my first progesterone in '09 allowed me to sleep through the night & scheduled light periods. Dealing with PCOS and peri-menopause, compounded progesterone, occasional testosterone, and DHEA have been essential for me.

“Compounded prescriptions have added value to my quality of life.”
Compounded medications that I take have given me more energy at age 80 and has, also, I believe helped me to avoid getting covid-19. I am confident that compounding pharmacies have a valid place in our medical fields and do not think that I should be denied the access to compounding pharmacies and their products.

“History of two estrogen positive breast cancers, a radical hysterectomy and 17 years without hormones.”
My name Is Carolyne and I was happily in school going for my physicians license when in 2003 d then 2005 I was diagnosed with breast caner. I had a double mastectomy and then I had cervical cancer resulting in a radical hysterectomy which threw me into a sever menopause that would last 17 years as doctors would in no way treat me with hormones. I had a horrible quality of life, was offered anti depressants that made me feel worse and also a lot of narcotics that I was happy to take bad as they were for me as they made me feel better. Fast forward to 2018 and I would meet ( after starting a menopause group on FB for any woman suffering a severe menopause) the incredible physicians who have specialized in treating women in menopause the past 50 years and know that compounded bio identical hormones do not cause cancer and do not harm us. I was very well treated and treated correctly with compounded bio identical hormones starting at age 59 and am now 63. I now have a life whereas prior to hormones I had no quality of life at all. I could not work, I could not go to school anymore because I had no energy for one and could not remember anything for two. i was completely unemployable. I lost my libido, I lost my memory, I cried constantly over nothing at all - I had severe vaginal atrophy and many UTI's, one nearly killing me. I had horrific anxiety due to horrible adrenaline surges due to no estrogen at all and I was a complete mess. My doctors here wanted me to see a psychiatrist. I knew I did not need a psychiatrist - I knew I needed hormones and badly. I did begin my hormones that were compounded out for me out for my unique body and I improved. I am working full time and am back in school at 63 and I am watched well by my well seasoned physician who knows menopause to be the specialty that it very much is but has never been recognized as such. I have my life back! I feel very safe; I feel wonderful knowing I am also protecting my body as well. If my compounded bio identical hormones are taken from me, I will have no life. Nor will some 8 to 10 million women who also choose to copy nature and feel incredible due to replacing vital hormones lost. There are many of us out there who rely on our cBHRT and our incredible physicians who have spent 25+ years specializing in treating us. Pls allow us out choices to do what is best for our bodies and allow us to choose to have our doctors and not the government treat us. Than you so much. Carolyne Shapiro
“Dry”
As a 56 female, I’ve gone through menopause. All I can say is the feeling is like dry out like a grape turning into a raisin. Prescribed hormones made the difference. The level is kept at the minimum and allows me to feel “normal” living with balanced hormones.
Thank you.

“Not living in Hormone Hell anymore!!”
Back in 2001, I had turned 50 and weighed 40 lbs more than I do now. I had severe PMS (hot flashing every other nano-second and night sweats), severe Perimenopause, (too much estrogen in my system and no progesterone) and, sleep apnea (77 episodes of not breathing). Had a C-Pak machine for night, but it was horrible sleeping with it. My Gyn kept giving me stuff to try, but it only made it worse. Finally, went to a Naturopathic Dr. and tried compounded hormones. Over time, my weight went down, sleep apnea went away, my moods were better and I started taking Pilates classes to get back into shape (I was always active before hormone hell). I just turned 70 in May and have been teaching Pilates for over 17 years. Between being now evenly balanced hormone-wise and in great shape, life is good again! FDA: PLEASE DON'T TAKE MY COMPOUNDED HORMONES AWAY. IT GIVES ME QUALITY OF LIFE!!

“I Need My Thyroid Medication to Live”
I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism twenty-five years ago. I have been on multiple medications to try to control this imbalance. I cannot take Armour, which it seems the FDA is trying to force, and individual drugs do not work for me. I have to have a hypoallergenic formula in order for my body to maintain a normal functioning life and not have a reaction. The FDA has already taken away my usual prescription of NatureThroid and have made sure that it will not return to the market. This has forced my doctor to resort to a compound pharmacy for a medication that will help me and that I can tolerate. When I do not have my medication, I cannot function as a contributing member of society. You ought to look up what systems of the body are governed by the thyroid so that you can get an idea of what you doing to people. You will be ending the life of a person for no other reason than misinformation and lack of knowledge. I don't feel that am being protected by the FDA. Isn't that what they are supposed to do? I feel victimized by the FDA with the continual attack on medications that actually help me. It seems that the drive must be to put money in their pocket, because it surely is not being done for the welfare of people.
