“Compounded hormones have made menopause bearable for me”
I started having symptoms of peri-menopause when I was in my mid to late 40s. I thought I was going crazy. I couldn't sleep, I was having horrible panic attacks and wild mood swings. I was constantly worried I would lose control and hurt myself or others.
I resisted going on hormone replacement because I was worried about the side effects I had read about. But my doctor reassured me that compounded hormones would be made specifically for me, at a dosage that would be extremely safe and effective. I agreed to try compounded hormones, and my life changed dramatically for the better in a matter of weeks. I no longer have thoughts of self-harm, and my other menopausal symptoms are far more manageable.
I shudder to imagine how my life would be without compounded hormones. Please keep this option available to me and to the many other that benefit from this life saving therapy.
Thank you.

“Life Changing”
As I got older my hormones because out of balance. I suffered from fibroids and heavy bleeding in which at times was so bad I could not leaver the house. I also felt tired, stressed and run down all the time. Prescription medication gave me anxiety and disrupted my sleep. cBHT (BHRT) was life changing for me. I am balanced and able to do all the things that life demands of me now. Please don't take this away from the countless people who need them to function.

“Life changing”
I can't express my fear of hearing that bioidentical hormones may be restricted by the FDA. Since 2001 when I had my hysterectomy my health care team has tried to get my hormones balanced out, using regular hormone therapy and I've struggled with migraines from it all with 17, up to 20 something migraines a month. Finally, I was introduced to bioidentical hormones in 2017 and my life has been changed. Before on the regular hormone therapy, they could not balance my hormones close enough.....small amounts at at time..... to prevent huge fluctuations, which in turn caused so many migraines. Now that I was able to slowly decrease the milligrams of hormone, small amounts at at time, which you can't do with the regular hormones as they only carry certain mg. amounts and the jumps were too much for me, I've been able to wein down to the right amount that my body needs to balance. My migraines have been cut in more than half and I feel like I've got my life back. Please, please don't take these away. I have NO idea how I would make it if these were taken away and I had to try to replace the amount I'm on now with regular hormones not compounded and bioidentical. The change would throw my system off and worsen my migraines once again, plus the other menopausal symptoms. My plan in the future is the hopefully, slowly wein down milligrams at a time to eventually get off hormone replacement therapy, but being a migrainer, my healthcare team said this may be difficult for me to go off and I may remain on these bioidentical hormones for years to come. Right now I'm am enjoying where I'm at and getting my life back, being able to go out of the house and making life plans again. Many woman will be affected by this restriction and I hope the testimonials that you receive along with mine will help you, the Congress work with the FDA on this manner of trying to restrict them. Thank you, Kathleen Sharek
“Hormones helping menopause symptoms”
I initially took a progesterone pill - but the pill dose wasn't really helping me. After trying the compounded progesterone cream - my body starting responding and it helped my migraines, my night sweats and more. My doctor said that sometimes the gut just can't absorb as well as the skin - I would be miserable and not doing as well if I did not have the compounded hormones.
“chronic fatigue”
I have been using bio-identical hormone replacement therapy for about 4 years. I felt an improvement in energy and mood. I am sure the bio identical hormone is best for my health.
“Compounded hormones saved my midlife hormone mess!!”
Having a very difficult time premenapause, I was told by an gynocologist that I should just get used to feeling the horrible way I was feeling. It was normal. I felt crazy, mentally a mess, tired all the time, crying, sad, couldnt sleep, I just wasnt me and I knew it had to do with hormones because it was bad cyclically. I left there in tears and followed up with a naturopath who assured me I wasnt going crazy and that he could help. HE DID!! He ran blood tests and within two weeks of taking compounded progesterone, I was sleeping, feeling back to myself again. I had more energy, no more ups and downs and sadness. It was GONE!!! Had I settled for the gynocolcogists advice, I would still be miserable today. I cannot say enough good things about taking bioidentical hormones, They really saved me!! Please do not take away this amazing cure for many people. They work.
Thank you

“I have had an excellent experience with a compound medication.”
I have been taking progesterone 200 mg slow release for 7 years and the results have been amazing. Definitely I get more sleep at night and the hot flashes seem to disappear.
On the other hand, when I have gone through a few weeks without taking it, I can certainly see the difference.
Also, I tried one time the medicine, but not compounded, and the results were not the same by far.
Thank you for your consideration in this matter.

“Life-changing”
I had begun to go through menopause and was having symptoms and discomfort.
I started taking bioidentical/compounded hormones, and the symptoms declined.
My doctor has since been checking the blood levels of my hormones every six months and adjusting my dosages, as needed.
I feel a WORLD BETTER, and am ever grateful for the custom created and SAFE alternative to synthetic, unsafe, manufactured drugs.
I will NEVER take synthetic hormones, as the health consequences are disastrous and deadly!
I'm very thankful for my bioidentical, compounded hormone replacement therapy!!
My pharmacist custom makes them just for me!
“BHT helped me”
Getting compounded BHT (E2/Progest 1/100mg) has made a huge difference in my sleep and temperature regulation. I now get 2 plus hours of sleep each night, something that was not happening before the compounded BHT. In addition before BHT I was uncomfortable much of the day with wild swings in my temperature from cold to very hot. I trust compounded medications over those mass produced. We have used compounded medications for many members of my family because the substrate and dosage can be customized to avoid a number of ingredient intolerances. Compounded medications are an effective example of personalized medicine.

“Urinary tract infection risk”
I am 60 years old post menopausal woman who suffers recurring UTI's and topical estradiol has helped cure me of this troubling and dangerous condition. The only option for this treatment is compounded hormone from cHBT at my specialty pharmacy.

“Custom compounded hormones area a God-send!”
cBHT testerone cream has been instrumental in helping me overcome my severe hormone imbalance. The FDA would be doing me and many others a great disservice by restricting access to this valuable tool. Especially when the decision is based on a deeply flawed report!

“Hormone Replacement”
Due to cancer in my family compounded hormone replacement therapy is a healthy choice! Have you looked at the risk. Pharmaceutical companies should be ashamed. Do not think they have our bodies in their best interest.

“Hormone replacement therapy resolved migraine pain without narcotics”
I am a mother of 3 who dealt for year with multiple migraines each week, some debilitating. The insurance company's resolution was to knock me out with narcotics. That's just not realistic with a job and 3 active children. Hormone replacement therapy balanced my hormone levels, and reduced my migraines to less than once per month. They were life changing!

“Years of misery”
It started when I was 20, one ovary removed. Constant hormone imbalances, miscarriage, 7 years later a viable pregnancy aided by supplements. Constant hormone mood swings, extreme fatigue after 20 years of horrible periods I had a hysterectomy. Synthetic hormones were worse than nothing. Finally I took it upon myself to get hormone testing. (Never doctor prescribed) I was a mess. I started using compounded hormones, instant relief. I test every 6 months, they are tweeked sometimes. I had to wait until I was 60 to feel-good. No excuse for this malpractice.
“Finally helped by Compounded HRT”
I had to have a complete hysterectomy when I was 40. My practioner and I tried various allopathic prescriptions to ease the many and various symptoms of the hormone loss I was trying to deal with. Since those medicines were all very "cookie cutter" (i.e., not specific to my particular needs), I got no good results.
When we tried Compounded HRT (cBHT) made for my personal, specific needs, I finally had, and still have, relief from my symptoms. And it is wonderful to know that as my specific hormone needs change over time, my Compounding Pharmacy will continue to be able to help. Please do not restrict these pharmacies from providing us with (cBHT).
“Hypothyroidism on Synthetic Hormones made me over weight”
I take non synthetic Amour. Synthetics kept the weight on me. My diet is the same as always. The synthetics are mostly useless. I took synthetics for years, and they stopped working. I found Amour and never looked back.

“Heard my hormones may no longer be available.”
I have been in need of the compounding hormones for my continued for the past 10 years. If any of these companies go out of business or these medications are no longer available, there will be a huge number of men including myself that will lose out on a normal way of life. I need these hormones for my day-to-day activities. Many of my friends of the same age are on the same boat.

“cBHT Saved My Life AND My Stomach”
I have a rare disease called Adrenal Insufficiency (AI.) My pituitary gland does not work and I must take oral cortisol and cBHT hormones daily in order to live. Basically, if I do not take cortisol and cBHT hormones DAILY, I WILL DIE.
WHY DO I NEED cBHT HORMONES INSTEAD OF A PILL?
1. Hormones taken in pill form must go through the stomach and then they are filtered through the liver. This means you have to take MORE medicine to achieve therapeutic levels. Additionally, most people (I am one of those people) are unable to metabolize certain drugs...back to the liver problem, AND a genetic enzyme problem. Solution: compounded cBHT.
2. Most hormones in pill form (and their fillers and binders) are very harsh and cause stomach upset and thining of the stomach lining. Going back to number one on my list, taking more pills increases damage to your stomach. More pills, more damage to your stomach, and then you die. Solution: compounded cBHT.
3. The BEAUTY of compounded hormones (cBHT) is that the drug delivery system is through the skin - the body's largest organ! There is NO STOMACH UPSET. The rate of drug absorption is immediate. Enzyme metabolic problems are greatly reduced. Again, the SOLUTION IS cBHT.
DO NOT TAKE AWAY MY FREEDOM OF HEALTH CARE MEDICATION CHOICES. HEALTH CARE CHOICES ARE MADE BETWEEN A DOCTOR AND A PATIENT.
Thank you.
