My Doctor treated my symptoms with compounded medicine and the improvement is wonderful.
So grateful this medicine is available.
If this compound was not available I would not be able to function well or handle my job as a nurse, nor have the quality of life I do now.

Real simple, once my Doctor prescribed me hormones from a Compounding Pharmacy, my health and life has gotten so so much better. Now I hear the darn FDA wants to take that from me. How terrible this would be to my life and health. DO NOT LET THE FDA TAKE THIS FROM ME !!!!!!!!!!!!

I went for years trying to manage my hormonal level, but it continued to be extremely labile until my doctor prescribed compounded hormones. I have finally been controlled and feel that College Pharmacy in Colorado is extremely consistent in their dosages. They maintain the utmost of quality standards. I finally feel Normal!

I was depressed, weak, and fatigued and had tried everything to get my health back. I even got certified as a health coach and learned everything I could about these issues with the hope I wouldn't need to result to HRT, knowing it was a lifelong commitment. But when I couldn't get my health optimized the way I knew to be possible, I went on testosterone replacement therapy and everything changed for me. I was able to get out of bed again and become a productive member of society. I was able to be with my wife and to enjoy a healthy sex life again and I felt hope and knew that I could tackle whatever came along. Most of all, I no longer thought about killing myself all the time and regained my desire to not only live but thrive. I'm not taking high doses trying to be superhuman and putting my health at risk. I'm back at normal physiological levels and it's not leaving me poor and my bank account dry like most medical treatments these days. I'm also happier than I've ever been and I find that these treatments are safe and effective and I can't fathom the thought of not having access to them anymore. Please don't take our right to better our own health away from us. It makes no sense if you are looking out for the interest of each American Citizen.

I was suffering from numerous health issues for years. One of my PCMs recommended I start working with a compounding pharmacy, so I researched and found one I felt comfortable working with. I spoke with the pharmacist, who had me conduct a saliva test. The test results found I was lacking in a number of hormones, so the pharmacist started me on pregnenolone and DHEA. In just a few days my mood and health improved! I woke up less often to urinate, which in turn improved my sleep. My ability to focus and concentrate improved considerably. I have nothing but praise for my pharmacist for helping me find an affordable solution to the issues I was dealing with.

Since I have a history of being ultra-sensitive to many oral medications, I consider compounded alternatives to be critical to my quality-of-life...especially where hormones are concerned. I am 72 and still grateful I have this option, which is an important part of my ongoing fight against depression and to increase my overall wellbeing.

The prospect of having compounded hormones "outlawed" is just another sign of our freedoms being taken away, for no good reason other than handing over more and more control of our lives to those who benefit for their own selfish reasons.

I fear there will be fewer options for my daughters when they become my age. 

Years ago, I started going thru menopause at a very early age-mid-40s. I had awful hot flashes, sweating, very moody, very low libido and just all around miserable. I found a doctor that was able to evaluate what my body needed and what hormones I was lacking. She immediately put me on a estrogen/progesterone/testosterone cream and T3 for my thyroid. After some tweaking we got the dosage right and I feel so much better in every aspect of my life now. My husband is much happier too! Please do not take away my right and ability to get my compounded bioidentical hormones.

I am a testicular cancer survivor that suffers from low testosterone resulting from corrective surgery. The only remaining effective medical treatment is compounded testosterone / DHEA injections. Restrictions on compounding pharmacies will likely limit the availability of this treatment. Please consider the damage that will be done to patients like myself if additional restrictions or prohibitions are passed.

I believe that my compound Hormones basically saved my sanity, health, marriage, and possibly life. In my time taking them my Dr. has kept a complete record of my health with a full blood panel that is yearly done. He watches every aspect of my health, and I can honestly say I'm very healthy and my blood work is excellent. I know my body and my mental health and can honestly say that the Hormone therapy has helped me achieve a sense of balance that is undeniable, not to forget the relief from hot flashes, terrible sleep, & low sex drive. I have a history thru my family of mental health issues. I look back now at my mother's tragic life and wonder if she had received help, including hormonal, would she of had a happier life? I am not a Dr. nor am I an expert on anything, but I'm a HUGE advocate for my right to stay on my regiment of compounded Hormones. Please do NOT take this away from us. I am 57 year old man. Aches and pains much better and so is my sex life.

I had to get my ovaries out due to possible cancer. After that, hormones went out of wack...tired...feeling weaker than before. A few years after a gynecologist recommenced Bio Identical Hormone replacement Therapy. It took a little time to kick in and WHAT a difference!!!! Skin, strength, and overall zip was like when I was 20. I didn't want to take chemical hormones. Now at 67 I feel great. I tell all my friends about this amazing miracle.

Hot flashes 30 times a day, unable to think normal due to brain fog, horrible mood swings making me do and say things I never normally would and leaving me crying because I didn’t understand why I was doing that! You can’t imagine what this is like if you haven’t experienced it! It makes your whole life feel out of control and overwhelming. My naturopath helped me find this medication and work out the appropriate dosage. The difference was unbelievable! It gave me my life back! Due to all the problems attributed to oral hormone replacements (IE made from urine of pregnant horses!) that just wasn’t an option. Also that type is not the same as what a human body makes and uses. The cream I use now is exactly the same as what I am lacking. Obviously that’s better! I have never in 6 years had one single negative effect or problem of any kind. Why would you want to limit people’s access to something so safe that helps so many people?? We should be helping more people learn about how much this medication can help not taking it away from people whose lives are made normal because they have it. The loss of this medication would be absolutely devastating to so many people that I can’t believe restrictions on it are even being considered!

I've been taking hormones by compound due to the type of hormones they gave me (prescription) I was never sleeping hot flashes made it to where I had a fever a lot of my day very hard to live life. i was introduced to compound meds an they have taken all the crazy stuff that the prescriptions did to me an made me a different person.

I began taking biodentical hormones back in 2009. I began having all sorts of strange things going on with my body and my gynecologist tested my blood and said I wasn't peri-menopausal. I spoke to my mom and she verified that my symptoms were mirroring hers when she started. She began at 40, I was only 37. Having a doctor tell me I was too young and didn't have the blood marker was all well and good, but didn't solve my lack of sleep, hemorrhaging periods, strange skin eruptions, heart palpitations, and the list went on. My gynecologist would only offer birth control, hysterectomy or uterine ablation. All three were things that had pretty awful side effects I just didn't want.

I spoke to my sister and she mentioned knowing someone taking biodentical hormones. i searched for a provider in my area. Began biodentical hormones and I could sleep, my periods calmed down and my life was so much more manageable!

When I was going through menapause my doctor tried a couple of medications to help the hot flashes and mood swings. But the side effects were not tolerable. I was fortunately able to talk to a doctor who studied hormone replacement. I took tests to determine my hormone in balance. I was placed on compounding hormones and my symptoms improved. It has also improved my bladder issue and helped with bone and muscle health. Please do not take hormone compounding off of the market. This product has tremendously helped me. Without it my over all health will decline. There needs to be room for this specialty. It is not a threat to the big pharmacies.

Without my cBHT I cannot sleep due to hot flashes througout the night. The sleep disturbances were negatively impacting my physical and mental health. My cBHT have made all the difference.

I am a 50 year old woman and I have used bio-identical hormones for 3 years. In my early 40’s, due to a medical condition, I had a partial hysterectomy. I elected for a partial because I wanted to enter menopause naturally. Three years ago, i experienced the worst bout of depression in my life, I was having suicidal thoughts! As a mother of 5, this scared me. I visited my doctor who tested my hormones to find that my levels were flatlined. Knowing my extreme history of allergies to pharmaceuticals, my doctor put me on bio-identical hormones and I immediately felt normal. I gladly pay $125 per month to feel like myself! I’m not asking for insurance to cover the cost, I’m just asking to be allowed to continue a therapy that is working for me. It is likely the only therapy that my body can withstand.

I am a 55 year old wife, mother, and grandmother. I had to have a complete hysterectomy 2 days before my 32nd birthday and was put on traditional hormone replacement. I stopped it within 3 months out of fear because my mother and her twin were both diagnosed with HR+ breast cancer after taking estrogen for 10 years. I tried it again because the menopausal symptoms were so bad, but did not get the desired relief and gained so much weight. I finally found a great Dr. who put me on bio identical compounded hormone replacement. After some adjustments over the course of a few months I felt like I got my life back. I no longer suffer from the inability to sleep , or the hot flashes and night sweats. I have not had a uti since i started this therapy, which is a miracle itself, as I had one after the other for the past few years prior. I also got back a normal sex life, which is huge for us, because prior to this therapy not only did I have a body that didn't work correctly I also had absolutely no interest. With cBHT I feel like a whole person for the first time in over 20 years. My life would suffer tremendously if this therapy was not available to me.

I was on non compounded progesterone Bioidentical HRT dose and it was not working for me, I needed a lower dose that was not available from a standard pharmacy. Once I switched to the lower compounded dose- per my providers advice, I noticed my digestion and weight normalize. I am grateful for this option and would like for compounded HRT to be an option. Please do not have me go back to feeling miserable.
