“I'm 51 years old, and have been going through menopause for the last 3 years....”
I am 51 years old, and have been going through menopause for the last 3 years. I've been using hormone replacement with a pellet. This is my second time using it. I'm not sure yet if it's the best option for me. I do have some energy, but I do still have certain symptoms that have not gone away. I'm also, have been having issues with my thyroid since the year of 2000. Which, I do take medication for on a daily basis. I need medication for hormones, because I have all symptoms. I have lack of sleep, anxiety depression, night sweats, gaining weight , dryness, and I am still losing hair today. Today, I still have no sex drive. I am desperate for help, and I'm tired of being tired!. I am scared taking so much medication, but I don't have any choices. My mom and aunt both had breast cancer, but I've been assured that it has nothing to do with my hormone replacement. I could not survive without the hormone replacement, because I felt so depressed that I no longer wanted to live. This is why I need my medication.
“I reacted to everything except bio-identical”
I'm severely ill and disabled. I've been sick for years with no answers and recently learned that the illness was a result of a rare disease that causes me to be hyper reactive especially to food items. I've reacted to everything that's not bio-idetical. I take make bio-identical items. Here's the story behind one. I have hashimoto's. Half of my thyroid is dead because doctors missed the thyroid problem for so long. I need thyroid hormone to live. Without it, I nearly went into a coma and died. But every thyroid med EXCEPT THE BIO-IDENTICAL has caused violent allergic reactions. I need bio-identical medication! I cannot live without it! I repeat: I will die without this medication. The other medications are simply not an option! Please do not eliminate this much needed option for people like me who have so few things we can use. If you do, you'll be doing a huge disservice to the sick and disabled community. In a free country, we should have options! Do not take away resources from people who already have to fight for the treatment they need.

“This is going to affect my therapy in a negative way and possibly my health”
I began testosterone therapy in March 2021. I utilize HCG to ensure testicular health and to keep my levels steady. It has been life changing in all aspects and I feel better than I can remember. My mood my energy and my relationship with others, overall I feel like a better person. Not having HCG available is going to require me to take time off my therapy and is going to make my hormonal levels to fluctuate. I am concerned this is going to have a negative effect in the effectiveness of my therapy. I wish the FDA had peoples best interest in mind and not their pocket book. Very sad 😔. Very disappointed they chose to take away something that has helped so many have a better life. It’s sickening 😞

“Hormone therapy improved my health”
Hormone therapy has helped me with several age-related health issues. Not many doctors offer this as part of their practice. Please support those doctors and pharmacies that offer this treatment.
Thank you
“Bioidentical Hormones replacement”
Bioidentical hormone replacement is very important to me. Without it, I feel horrible and I’m unable to function for my family. I watch my granddaughter while my daughter works as a nurse. Without Bioidentical hormone replacement, I become extremely fatigued. I would not be able to watch my granddaughter if not for Bioidentical hormone replacement. Please don’t change anything except make it available through insurance.

“I have been on bio identical hormones for over 10 years after Going through perry menopause and then menopause. I cannot survive without them.”
Going through peri-menopause and then menopause. I cannot survive without them. I was just about bedridden from my menopausal symptoms. Bodyaches confusion and forgetfulness mood swings. Please do not take this away from me having access to bio-identical hormones. This would be like taking blood pressure medicine from a person that has high blood pressure.

“20 Plus years of replacement therapy”
I started testosterone replacement in my early 30s. I tried injections, but my body metabolized it so quick, I could never get a level dose. My doctor changed me to Androgel, the cost of this was over $10,000.00 per year. The amount I had to apply covered my entire chest, arms, and tops of my legs due to the rate my body metabolized it. I was told every 6 months a generic was coming. After several years, the company that was about to release the generic was bought out by the original company, resulting in no price drop. It was at this time I had to make a change both for the fear of transference to my family due to how much of my body and clothes were in contact with the replacement gel and the cost. That is when I found another doctor that would prescribe a compounding replacement. This cut the cost to $600.00 per year, and an amount that could be applied to only my scrotum. This greatly reduced the cost and fear of transference.
The compounding is the best option for me and many others. It has changed my health, saved me money, and eased the fear of transference and harm to my family.
Hormone replacement is not easy to get regulated in the body.
Please consider the economic, health, safety, and the patients choice of treatment before making any changes to the compounding option.
Thank you for your time.

“Why I need hormones”
I got my first UTI that would not go away. Months on medicine & it would not go away.
I was not sleeping, had brain for & bone loss.
I went to a hormone replacement doctor who checked my hormone levels & everything was rock bottom.
He prescribed estradiol, progesterone & testosterone. All from a compounding hormone pharmacy. I feel better getting my hormones for them instead of mass produced hormones with horse urine!
I hope that I can continue getting my hormones from a compounding pharmacy.
“HRT has been extremely helpful to me.”
Compounded hormone replacement therapy has helped me in many ways. I have a better, more positive attitude about daily life and about the future; I feel more like myself again; it has improved my libido; and it helps with my osteoporosis/osteopenia. I don't want to go backwards.

“Have been taking bio identical hormones for years.”
I was diagnosed with Lyme disease, chronic Lyme disease, about 15 years ago but probably had it for many years before that. I also had multiple coinfection‘s and my hormones were a mess. My MD put me on bio identical hormones which has really helped get my hormones balanced. I am horrified to hear that the FDA may be shutting down compounding pharmacies and forbidding bio identical hormones.

“Early Hysterectomy & Auto Immune”
I lost my mother to ovarian cancer while in college. It was a terrible disease and her pain and suffering were completely mis-managed by her health providers.
I vowed to defy the same outcome so after my children were born and I started experiencing terrible pain symptoms I had a full hysterectomy. I had been on birth control since my mother's passing as my doctor's felt that was best. After my surgery, I needed a new path forward to help me manage my hormones.
Luckily I found some great partners in my health and I started on a regular prescription of compounded hormones. They have kept me going strong. My insurance won't pay for them given some of my unique hormone deficiencies, but I still stay the course because it works. So if someone is willing to pay out of pocket for 15 years and counting then I would definitely emphasize that they are.
“Use a compounded bio-identical hormone”
I have been prescribed a pharmacy compounded bio-identical hormone which I have taken almost daily for approximately 5 years. It has been an effective way to modulate my hormone levels, contributing to my physical, mental and emotional well-being. With it, my cycles, sleep, mood & mental focus are balanced. It is also significant to note that the compounded formula I use is affordable. Bio-identical hormones have positively impacted my life, please do not add unnecessary restrictions to their usage.

“Bio identical hormones are a game changer!!!”
I am so much happier and healthier with my bio identical hormones. I've been using bio identical progesterone, and testosterone for a few years. Now that I've fully hit menopause, I would be lost without my progesterone. I can now sleep and don't feel like ripping off the heads of anyone within earshot. These bio identical hormones have made me such a better person all around. Please don't take that away from me. It's a wonderful world we live in, but so much better with bio identical hormones.

“Menopause”
My compounded hormones are crucial to my daily living. The numerous effects of menopause are debilitating and the compounded hormones have made all the difference. I can only imagine the number of women who have received relief from their compounded hormones. Do not impact this life changing solution.
“Made my life so much more livable.”
As I approached menopause I started having overwhelming hot flashes and night sweats. The night sweats were so bad that most nights I didn't get much sleep at all. I was exhausted and irritable due to the lack of sleep. The compounded hormones lessened this to the point I can sleep and feel rested enough to function and enjoy my life. I can't imagine not being able to have this helpful resource and having to go back to the life I led before taking them.
The fact that these are coming under scrutiny makes me think that big pharma is getting nervous that people have a choice to take an alternative to their products. Such a shame that our world has to be like this!
“Bio-Identical Therapy”
When I was in my twenties, I was involved in a serious car accident that damaged my pituitary. I went for years with major hormone imbalance even though I didn’t take birth control. I was told at one time to go on BCs to stabilize me but after multiple BCs, I finally stopped because I was frustrated that they created further imbalance. It was many years of trial and error before I found a practitioner who prescribed my Bio’s. It transformed my life and well being. I have been on them for years and have no intentions of going off of them. My insurance provider will not pay for them so I opted to pay out of pocket which runs me $800 per year. It’s well worth my piece of mind and me hormone stability.

“Many less side effects”
I’m using CBHT to improve bone density. I have Multiple Sclerosis and Osteoporosis and am at high risk for an injury from a fall. I I tried pharmaceutical Progesterone but it made me feel dizzy, sedated, “hungover “!
My doctor suggested trying compounded
Progesterone to see if the side effects could improve. I am very happy that I do not have
any side effects from the compounded product. It was much more expensive but worth the money to me, as I feared taking a medication that caused significant, dangerous side effects l

“HRT changed my life”
I went through surgical menopause at age 40 and was prescribed birth control pills as hormone replacement. Over the next 7 years I developed increasing healthy issues that my doctors struggled to diagnose. I suffered significant fatigue. muscle soreness, headaches, and severe digestive issues. the symptoms were so bad that it was affecting my ability to work. I finally met a doctor who suggested the problem might be hormonal imbalance and prescribed compounded natural hormone replacement. Within 30 days my symptoms dramatically improved and with in a few months I was feeling nearly my old self.. The fatigue was gone, my dry eyes were gone, my muscle pain was gone, my brain fog cleared, and my digestive issues improved. Now that I am at the age of menopause I am slowly going off the HRT, but I am so grateful to have had it. It literally changed my life - allowing me to continue working and take care of my family.
“I was tired.”
I had to take daily naps. No energy. A year ago I was working out 4-5 days a week, even after 12 hour shifts. I took multi vitamins and I have no other health conditions. I started taking prescription diet pills not to lose weight but for energy. Eventually those did mot work. I was tested and was low in progesterone, testosterone, esteogen, dhea and cortisol.
I have been taking replacements for about 3 months. Even with some added personal stress, i am slowly back to working out 3 days a week and dance classes twice a week for the 1st time since covid started. I have only taken maybe 3 naps during the day in the past 3 months.
Please stay out of my healthcare decisions. As a nurse I see alot of waste and misuse of things due to government.

“I’ve been using compounded hormones for 7 years. I feel amazing! I have a lot of energy, my memory is good and sex is great!”
My compounded hormones keep me young and active. When mama is happy everyone is happy. I will not put synthetic hormones in my body. It is very important that we have a choice over what goes in our bodies from food to prescriptions! Do not take any more of our freedoms away, please! Last I checked I still stood on American ground!
