“My depression became overwhelming in my early 50's in-spite of the antidepressant which had helped in the past.”
I suspected it had to do with hormone changes during menopause, but I have never used birth control pills and I was not going to start using
synthetic hormones now.
My doctor explained that using compounded Bioidentical hormones, We could adjust my hormone levels back to natural levels, the dosing would be specific for my situation. Soon. I was feeling like myself again, Not only has my depression been relieved, I am thinking clearer, my bone density is improving, and the frequent UTIs. dryness and painful intercourse are a thing of the past. I couldn't have asked for a better result.
consequently, I am seriously concerned about any restrictions by the FDA that would impact the availability of cBHRT because the dose is specific for me and the hormones are as natural as my own. No "FDA approved" drug manufacturer has ever offered this common-sense approach to relieving post-menopause symptoms.
“Ovarian Cancer at Age 30”
I had ovarian cancer at age 30 and had a hysterectomy and chemotherapy. I took hormone replacement therapy until I was the normal menopausal age of 50. After that, I was plagued with vaginal atrophy. Compounded hormones were the only thing the mitigated pain, dryness, and discomfort. I would be miserable without them (and so would my wife). ;-)

“Trust. Me.”
I am currently 41 and have needed hormonal supports on and off since I was a teen, but have taken compounded progesterone for approximately the past 9 years. I tried the synthetic Provera as well as birth control to regulate my cycle but they either did not yield the results I needed to gently and naturally re-stimulate and rebalance my cycle (regarding the Provera) OR I was concerned about the long-term risks (especially CANCER!!!) of both Provera and birth control. Compounded progesterone has been essential to maintaining my cycle in a way I feel safe about and in addition, I was able to go from 185 lbs to the 140s.
Additional dysfunctions relieved for me simply with compounded progesterone: Severe feelings of internal shakiness, amenorrhea and inconsistent menstrual cycles, brain fog/functioning, food/sugar cravings (thus avoiding poor diet and health complications that can come from that), low energy, lower moods.
Has also supported: improved blood sugar balance, the ability to maintain a healthier weight, the ability to think and perform at work and be a productive member of society, a healthy libido, a calmer nervous system, and an overall sense of well-being.
Trust me FDA, you do not want millions of women including your mothers, daughters, sisters, coworkers, neighbors, and/or women you interact with in public to be agitated, short, “hangry,” crying, sleep-deprived, not helping you at work, having emotions and hormones making decisions such as writing you out of the will and taking your share of the inheritance. Are you going to fund the budget for the amount of chocolate and cupcakes that are going to be needed by millions of women as a replacement? Are you ready for your wives/girlfriends to lose their figures and not want to have sex with you? Take a look at the uploaded picture as a visual reference of the CERTAIN outcomes and... Think. It. Through.

“Compounded Thyroid replacement”
I have required Thyroid replacement therapy for 29 of my 69 years on earth, and I have been prescribed various FDA-approved pharmaceuticals, including Synthroid, Thyrolar, etc. In each case, I broke out in hives! I do not know what particular chemical that is in these medicines that I am allergic to, but I am NOT allergic to the compounded Thyroid hormone therapy. I would prefer to buy cheap HRTs that insurance would pay for, but I simply CANNOT TOLERATE them. So instead, I self-pay for the cBHRTs that I can take. PLEASE DO NOT RESTRICT COMPOUNDED HORMONE THERAPIES!!! I don't know how I can function without the only form of thyroid my body can tolerate.

“Compounded Progesterone Cream has helped with hot flashes”
Hello,
I have had frequent hot flashes since having hyperthyroidism in 2004. My thyroid was treated with radioactive iodine and I went on Synthroid and then a natural thyroid replacement tablet because I was not making enough T3. Even with replacement therapy, I continued to have hot flashes. Compounded progesterone cream has helped reduce hot flashes a great deal. Recently I have had issues regulating my thyroid meds and I went back on Synthroid. It is possible that I may need compounded T3 as I did not do well on Cytomel.
Compounded hormones have been very helpful and I hope that they will remain available.

“Compound Hormone Treatment Helped Me”
I struggled with hormone problems for years and birth control was my only option. With birth control, I had side effects such as excessive crying, acne, and weight gain. The birth control wasn't changing my issues but a friend suggested compound hormone treatment. I tried it and saw improvement in mood, regularity, emotions, acne, and weight. I am grateful for pharmacies that compound and treat people individually over a standard over-the-counter dosage of standard birth control that doesn't take all factors into consideration.
“Bio-identical creams are vital to me!”
I cannot imagine not having access to bio-identical hormones. They allow me to maintain better heart function, skin health, brain health, muscle strength, and bone health, among some of the many reasons that I rely on this natural medicine!

“Compounded hormones have addressed my hormonal imbalance”
Low testosterone levels were affecting my quality of life. Tired, loss of muscle mass, poor mood, poor sleep were a result of below minimum bio-available testosterone. Testosterone in and of itself would be helpful but additional medications (DHEA, DPAC) are necessary to keep hormonal balance and my body producing its own hormones. This reduces the chance of any additional issues or a need to increase other medications, including testosterone, as my body adapts to the testosterone shots.

“surgical menopause & allergic to RX adhesive”
I have taken bio-identical hormones since I had a total hysterectomy and removal of my ovaries at an early age. My Dr. put me on an estrogen hormone patch, which helped relieve some symptoms, the worst of which, was having absolutely no zest for living, and a feeling of total lethargy. BUT it was not a balanced hormone replacement, and I was allergic to the adhesive in the patch. Having it on my skin made it bubble and slough off! So, I went to a naturopathic Dr. and was put on bio-identical hormone replacement, which has kept me on an even keel for years. My dosage is adjusted by testing every 2 yrs. Please don't take away our ability to have this resource, which has been nothing but helpful for me.
“Must have BHRT!!!!!”
I am 62 years of age. I started taking bio-identical hormones at the age of 58 years of age. I have been suffering from perimenopausal symptoms since I was 45 years of age. I was introduced to HR a T around 48 years of age but it was the synthetic version. After learning that synthetic hormones could cause cancer and stroke I decided to get off of the synthetic hormones. I suffered immensely. I suffer so much I decided to retire from my job. I had hot flashes, depression, vaginal dryness, low libido, mood swings, anxiety, bones eight, and extreme fatigue. I didn’t know what to do until I started reading Suzanne Somers's book about bio-identical hormone replacement. That’s when I went on a search for a Doctor Who could prescribe BHRT. It has been a lifesaver for me. My marriage is much happier and energetic I can focus better and be just a better person all around. I could not have made it without BHRT. How can FDA even consider taking this extremely effective medicine away from Women? Women already suffered enough um ciao bearing too many other things in their life. Women need support because we are the backbones in most of our families. Please continue to support BHRT for it is a lifesaver for so many women.
“All positive results.”
I am so thankful for cBHT. I believe my cBHT saved my marriage and my job!
Menopausal hormone replacement with cBHT,
has greatly enhanced my quality of life.I am so thankful for cBHT.
I believe my cBHT saved my marriage, my job and my quality of life!!
I went from sleepless nights, irritable and angry mood swings to great sleep, calm thoughts and actions after starting my cBHT. I was able to concentrate at work again and maintain balance of my emotions when dealing with others.
I went from aggravating hot flashes and night sweats to balanced moods, better concentration and good nights sleep.
I went from lack of energy and physical fulfillment to complete satisfaction.
I believe the importance of the availability of compounded cBHT is imperative for any women's physical and mental health and wellness.
“Radical Hysterectomy Changed My Life, Compounded Hormones Saved Me”
I am living proof that conventional Western medicine and alternative therapies can not only co-exist, but work together to help patients heal and thrive.
At the age of 48 I was diagnosed with Endocervical cancer. The solution was a radical hysterectomy. But of course, that left me with little to no naturally produced hormones.
My gynecologist at the time prescribed bio-identical hormones. At the very beginning, the goal was to mitigate the effects of the total, surgery-induced menopause. The small doses of Estradiol and Testosterone allowed me to live my life without debilitating hot flashes, joint pain, and tissue deterioration common after hysterectomy.
Over the years, and under medical supervision, I've found very low-dose hormonal replacement therapy essential to my health. Most recently, the addition of low-dose progesterone has allowed me to support my adrenals and produce my own Cortisol. What would appear as a minor intervention has had major health benefits and has allowed me to reduce my use of both migraine medication and anti-inflammatory medication.
Please, please do not take away this important resource. My quality of life would be diminished without access to bio-identical compounded hormones.
“Uplifting and aids in balanced hormones”
Hormonal balance is very important considering all of the mess of using birth control at an early age along with having a tub ligation and a hysterectomy brought about in my life before I turned 55. None of the surgeries brought about assistance but more trouble for me. Natural bioidentical hormones brought about lasting change for me in the way I needed it most.

“Relief from hot flashes”
Until I started on compounded hormones I was not able to manage the severe hot flashes, which were disruptive to my personal life, my productivity, my work life, and I was not able to sleep through the night. There is absolutely no comparison to live prior to the compounded hormones. It would severely diminish my quality of life without them.

“Expensive but worth it”
My doctor was worried about clots on pills so I switched to compounding creams. The compounding creams are a healthy alternative to absorbing menopausal treatments

“Gave me back my life!”
In my mid forties, I had a physical breakdown.
I tested for hormone imbalances and found I barely produced estrogen. My amazing Naturopath put me on natural bio-identical hormone therapy. I was in a month, transformed, and felt life again!
I am 61 and still take my bio-identical hormones. I regularly have check-ups for any adverse effects, mammograms, etc. I always show a clean bill of health.
I have referred many women to test for hormone imbalances, many have received similar therapy and feel they have their life again.
This therapy works, do not restrict any woman or man from having the same benefits!!!!
Thank-you!

“Bio identical Hormones”
For the past few years and in particular the past year I felt as if my light was going out. I am only 60 years old!
A friend told me about bio-identical hormones. I went to see my physician and she tested me. hormone levels, they were almost nonexistent. She started me on bio-identical hormones and I got my life back!
PLEASE do not stop allowing the use of bio-identical hormones, I just got my life back.
Sincerely,
Bonnie Hoff R.N.
“Been on HRT for 26 years”
I have been on compounded hormones since I was 41 years old and plan on staying on them for the rest of my life. They have made all the difference in my quality of life as I went through perimenopause, menopause, and now post-menopausal. It would be a crime if compounding was restricted or compromised in its current state. I have tried the one size fits all hormone therapies and they do not work and are not compatible with all people's body chemistry. Compounding is essential to a balanced system!
“I use three forms of compounded hormonal replacement therapy. I would lose my vision without them!! There would also be problems with my sexual health..”
I have dry macular degeneration. With the help of a doctor in Ohio, and having regular bloodwork, my vision is stable for 1.5 years. I use hormone replacement therapy morning and night to which I attribute these stunning results.
I also have a dry and shrinking vagina. With regular use, it has returned to normal with the use of compounded hormone replacement therapy.
PLEASE do NOT limit access to the availability of compounded hormones. My good vision is at stake.

“A more satisfying life”
When my wife was 50 a hormone test showed zero hormones. She began receiving bio-identical hormones because she believed they were safer than regular pharmaceutical hormones. Her hot flashes stopped and her interest in life and sex improved.
I began taking testosterone in my early 60's. It has noticeably improved my sex life. I believe that it also helps keep my bones, body healthy in general, and adds to my energy and interest in living. I will be unhappy if I we are forced to stop supplementing our very diminished hormone levels.
Sincerely,
Tom Skach
