“This has made menopause so much easier to deal with. I tried...”
This has made menopause so much easier to deal with. I tried the usual things via prescription and they were not adaquate. I tried going without for almost five years and was even more miserable. These make me feel like the active female I have always been! Please don't change my access, our access, to these compounded hormes. Please.

“It has been really vital for my health that my doctor has be...”
It has been really vital for my health that my doctor has been able to prescribe bioidentical hormones in the form of precise creams. I am not able to take the oral versions as, for example, oral progesterone causes symptoms due to the oral delivery which renders me unable to take it. My quality of life was poor before I took the bioidentical hormones that were precisely geared for me by my medical doctor and compounded by the compounding pharmacy. It is alarming that I may no longer be able to get them if compounding pharmacies can no longer have access to the hormones due to this very harmful bill. Please allow compounding pharmacies, physicians, and clients to continue to access compounded bioidentical hormones.
“I was post-menopausal and needed hormones. My provider only ...”
I was post-menopausal and needed hormones. My provider only used compounded products. Without them I would be without the hormones I needed. They have improved the quality of my life. I am 81 and still going strong. If there are no compounded bioidentical hormones I will take no hormones at all.

I had a hysterectomy and ovarectomy at the age of 43 and immediately went into menopause. I began having hot flashes every two hours, day and night. My doctors gave me oral hormones (estrodial and testosterone) but they gave me migraines. I was getting between two and four hours of sleep. Finally a new doctor put me on the estrodial patch and topical testosterone. The hot flashes are much reduced. I have none during the day and am getting six hours of sleep a night. I also began to have vaginal atrophy and compounded estriol has really helped with my ability to urinate.

cBHT has saved my life; I was having a hot flash every ten minutes. I also has very itchy skin, dry eyes and insomnia. All those symptoms of menopause went away when I began hormone replacement.

“After many years of fatigue, my Primary MD diagnosed me with...”
After many years of fatigue, my Primary MD diagnosed me with FMS and CFS in 2003 - but my hormone levels (when even checked), were always deemed "in range".
I finally went to a MD/Naturopath in 2005, when I could barely sleep or function during the day. She did in-depth blood screening, and began cBHT Thyroid replacement therapy - what a complete and positive change for my whole body, to receive T3/T4 compounded to my own body's needs! Because of the overlap of symptoms from FMS/CFS and Hypothyroidism, prescribing the T3 was the best thing to help my body recover! Since my hormone levels recovered, I have managed my FMS/CFS pain and fatigue with only eight hour Tylenol as added medication (not exactly great to take daily for more than twenty years now, but better than the prescribed painkillers and "sleep aids" I started with). I've also used small prescriptions of cBHT Testosterone Cream, and Progesterone Cream - both short term until my hormone levels were within range. After menopause 10 years ago, I monitored my changing hormone levels, but decided not to use any cBHT creams at that time - an option that would have been tailored to my own body, if I'd chosen that path. Over time, I've also discovered intense latex and latex protein allergies (almost every fruit & vegetable), as well as sulfa/sulfur/sulfates/sulfites - so even my vitamin supplements are closely scrutinized for their current and updated ingredients, as well as any antibiotics or other medications prescribed by my regular primary MD. Therefore, in addition to receiving medication specially tailored to my own body's needs, I am able to screen out any allergens - something not possible with any large Pharmaceutical Company - and the reason that Compounding Pharmacies exist.
For the past 16 years, I've continued my individualized cBHT Thyroid replacement with a compounding pharmacy, and pray I'll always have that right.
“I have my bloodwork done and the hormones are made for just ...”
I have my bloodwork done and the hormones are made for just me. I have had terrible hot flashes that greatly affect my quality of life. The hormone replacement has taken care of not having the hot flashes. I have had normal mammograms/uterus ultrasounds and bone density tests and all have been normal. I have been on these hormones for over 15 years. At one point I stopped, thinking I no longer needed them, and my hot flashes were back within two weeks. I feel I have very monitored care from my doctor and pharmicist. When I see a gynocologist, they want to put me on anti-depressants for my hot flashes. That makes no sense to me. I am not able to talk to some of my doctors about being on HRT. They shut down right away. I do not feel that they have done the research on them. If I ever do have any issues or questions my HRT pharmacist is always available for consultation and has always been able to help me. My doctor too. I will be 68 years old and I hope to be able to take these for the rest of my life.

“cBHT has positively impacted my intimacy with my husband. I ...”
cBHT has positively impacted my intimacy with my husband. I started cBHT after my hysterectomy twelve years ago. My doctor monitors my hormone levels with blood tests every six months and makes tiny adjustments when needed. Our compounding pharmacy makes sure I have a personalized RX and always addresses any questions I have. I have every confidence in my doctor's assessments and the professionalism of our compounding pharmacy. Many years ago after investigating Premarin I chose to find another way of addressing my body's needs. I still do not want to have to use Premarin. I hope to continue my personalized hormonal care through cBHT. Please recognize that every person's needs cannot be addressed by a standardized pharmaceutical prescription. Keep HRT a matter between a patient and physician and allow compounding pharmacies to do what they do best.

I take compounded timed release T3 for my thyroid. Due to the autoimmune disease, Graves, I had radioactive iodine treatment to kill off my thyroid. Something went wrong and it didn't kill my thyroid, but severely damaged it. I didn't find this out for years as thyroid tests said I was fine but I had severe hypothyroid symptoms. After special tests were done they found the problem and I have been on T3 for years and don't know what I do without it. Standard Synthroid (T4) does not work for me.

I have taken compounded hormones since my mid-50's when I first began to experience menopausal symptoms. My doctor prescribed the compounded hormones to be able to closely prescribe what my body needed and not what and otc product would provide. My doctor has modified the compounds through the years based upon levels showing up in my bloodwork giving me just what I need, not less, not more. I have never had any unpleasant symptoms since taking the compounded hormones. I have seen other women suffer from menopausal symptoms. I'm appreciative of my health and lack of symptoms.

Hormone therapy is NOT a one-size-fits-all treatment. Standard pharmaceutical company medications do not work properly for a majority of men. Most require specific concentrations and blends of medications that ONLY compounding pharmacies can provide. Shutting down compounding pharmacies will leave patients with only standard medications that are ineffective or dangerously dosed.

I take HCG in addition to my testosterone as part of my HRT. It has had very positive affects on my overall well-being. I have only had positive results from adding this to my protocol and wish it not to be discontinued.

I have been using bioidentical hormone creams for eight years due to menopause. This has enabled me to regulate my hormones. No more hot flashes. No more insomnia. No more brain fog. I am 58, work full time, work out every night, eat right and feel happy and energetic. I do not take any medications and do not want to take any prescriptions that may have side effects and not work as well. BHT has worked very well for me. Please save our compound pharmacies!

“Before I had my first hormone injection I was having hot fla...”
Before I had my first hormone injection I was having hot flashes, tired all the time, fatigue and body aches. About two weeks after I had my first injection my hot flashes were gone. I have rheumatoid arthritis and I couldn't believe how much better my joints felt. I can't say enough about this treatment. I have told many of my friends about it. Why suffer when there is such a great option for women. The only down side is the insurance doesn't seem to think this treatment is necessary. If they only knew how it has improved mine and many women's lives.
