NPR shows why license-lookup matters

NPR’s Sydney Lupkin took another angle on the GLP-1 story: What happens when patients use an unlicensed pharmacy for their compounded medications? In this case it was a Florida pharmacy that was compounding tirzepatide without a license. Patients found out about it, leaving them fearful to use the meds … and, once the pharmacy shut down, unable to get refunds.

And that, we explained for the piece, “When online weight-loss drugs are too good to be true,” is why licensing matters — and so does checking for one. (Hint: Use APC’s “Is it Legit” page to find out.)
