NBC-LA covers compounded glutathione

Glutathione can literally be a life-saver for firefighters, but, as LA's NBC station explains, "the California Board of Pharmacy has made it very difficult for sterile compounding pharmacies to make it." It's one of the state-level issues that APC is working on, in this case with a coalition of stakeholders.

NBC turned to us to explain the law and how the CA BoP is ... interpreting it.

"They are going beyond what is the industry standard. We have asserted at every point in this process … that’s a great idea if you can demonstrate to us how that makes patients safer, and the board has yet to be able to enunciate a reason for wanting to exceed those national standard."
