The compounded thyroid medicine prescribed by my doctor is perfect for me. I feel good and my energy and thyroid labs are stable with this treatment. It's an important part of my health balance.

I had tried two different thyroid medications for months each before moving to a compounded T3/T4 specially made for me. The difference was extremely noticeable. I felt like myself again on the compounded thyroid medication! I no longer felt medicated--my body was getting exactly what it needed to function properly. Compounding has also allowed my doctor to meet the needs of *my* body as it went through pregnancy and post-partum by making slight alterations to my compound. My journey started 7 years ago. I woke up one morning and my hands and joints were swollen. I when to urgent care and was referred to a rheumatologist. They determined I didn't have arthritis but had no clue what my problem was. I choose to see a Naturopath. I had determined that I had a thyroid condition and adrenal fatigue. After some blood work the naturopath said you are correct. It took over three years to discover that my body doesn't convert T3 to T4 and pig hormone Synthroid didn't work for me. We finally decided to try a compounded pharmacy. It has been the best thing for me. My Hashimoto symptoms are so much better. This is one of those times when western medicine doesn't work and I need doctors who could think outside of the box to help me. I know that I wouldn't be able to physically function if I couldn't take my compounded T3/T4.

My name is Julie. I am 60 years old. I've had 32 surgeries due to my health issues started in my late 30's. I HAVE to have my meds all compounded to avoid these ingredients that are making me sick. PLEASE DO NOT take the compounding away from me! I cannot function or live without them! My quality of life DEPENDS on them!

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism twenty-five years ago. I have been on multiple medications to try to control this imbalance. I cannot take Armour, which it seems the FDA is trying to force, and individual drugs do not work for me. I have to have a hypoallergenic formula in order for my body to maintain a normal functioning life and not have a reaction. When I do not have my medication, I cannot function as a contributing member of society. You ought to look up what systems of the body are governed by the thyroid so that you can get an idea of what you doing to people. You will be ending the life of a person for no other reason than misinformation and lack of knowledge. I don't feel that am being protected by the FDA. Isn't that what they are supposed to do? I feel victimized by the FDA with the continual attack on medications that actually help me. It seems that the drive must be to put money in their pocket, because it surely is not being done for the welfare of people.

Currently I take NP Thyroid and my doctor tests me yearly. My numbers come back great after testing.
After my hysterectomy in 2015 my doctor recommended that I begin getting bio-identical hormone pellets every 3 months. It was explained to me that the hormones in these pellets would help my bone density. My first bone density test was in 2013 and I had a T-score below -2.5 with significantly reduced bone density. Another bone density test in 2021 showed significant improvement in bone density. I take no other supplements or prescriptions for bone density so I can only credit the bio-identical hormone replacement therapy with my improvement.
I spend approximately $500.00 every three months for all of these hormones. My husband and I live on Social Security so finances can sometimes be and issue. Why would I spend that much money on these hormones if I did not see or feel improvements on them. I have a very responsible doctor that tests my hormone levels yearly. I really believe that patients and their doctors are the best judge of what works medically for them and that the government needs to leave decisions on medical care up to the patients and medical professionals.

I had previously used HRT via oral pharmaceutical route with ill effects. I went to an integrative physician who prescribed the topical hormone as well as compounded thyroid replacement. Those interventions made a huge improvement in my overall health and well being. My daughter had a thyroidectomy and could not tolerate the synthetic thyroid hormone. Compounded thyroid medicine makes it possible for me to take the exact amount that my body needs. Pills would only give me an approximate amount. In order to feel my best & not have symptoms, I need compounded capsules twice daily.

To Whom This May Concern: My thyroid was removed 40 years ago, cancer. Any and ALL prescription drugs I tried caused me unbearable stomach pain and extreme nausea. Finally I was referred to compounded medication. For the past 30 years I have been using compounded hormone medication through RC Compounding. I have absolutely NO pain and NO stomach illness. I feel 100% PLUS, using compounded medication. I am 80 years young, self employed and also a professional Country Clog Dancer, thanks to RC Compounding. There have been enough deaths with the Coronavirus - Do you want to end my life by taking away my medication in which I myself pay for ? ? ? My life is very precious to me, please don't end it by taking away my medication.

When I entered menopause, my thyroid and hormones tanked. I could not function, I felt so awful. I did not want to go out or even leave my bed. I have celiac, Hashimoto's, and surgery to remove half of my thyroid because of a tumor, among many other autoimmune conditions. I am on Sustain Release T3 medication that has literally enhanced my quality of life and more. With the Sustain Release, I do not have to take some every hour but instead twice a day, which will carry me through the night. Otherwise I would have to get up multiple times to take a pill. Thus get sicker by not getting a good night sleep. T3 compound medication helps me to digest my food, stay wake and to get warm. When I did not have the SR T3, I could barely eat only fruit, otherwise I my digestion would not work. My temperature was between 96.4 to 97 degrees when I did not have SR T3. Since starting SR T3 my temperature is between 98 and 98.6 degrees. And I could sleep all night and all day without SR T3. It is imperative that SR T3 still be available for me. I am also taking compound T4. I have tried the generic T4 medication but have several allergic reactions to it. Since being on the Compound T4 without all the dyes, and extra stuff added, I have no reactions and am thriving with it. And knowing I am able to get these things from a Compound Pharmacy has been life saving. Please do not restrict them.

All commercial forms of thyroid medications stopped working for me. I gained weight and subsequently was diagnosed with estrogen positive breast cancer. I take compounded timed release T3 for my thyroid. Due to the autoimmune disease, Graves, I had radioactive iodine treatment to kill off my thyroid. Something went wrong and it didn't kill my thyroid, but severely damaged it. I didn't find this out for years as thyroid tests said I was fine but I had severe hypothyroid symptoms. After special tests were done they found the problem and I have been on T3 for years and don't know what I do without it. Standard Synthroid (T4) does not work for me.

I cannot use synthetic hormones or thyroid meds. I have always had adverse reactions to them. Synthroid caused severe breast pain and the commercially made Armour formulations are changed often enough that there is no consistency. I have my thyroid meds and BHRT compounded specially for me. My husband and son have their testosterone compounded for them as well.
