I ad a complete hysterectomy at 50. For 15 years I lived in misery. I couldn't sleep, brain fog, no energy and general malaise while on Premarin and then patches. I started using a combination troche at 65. I'm now 75 and my life is sweet. I sleep well, am very physically active and brain fog is gone. I lost 15 years of my life on Premarin and patches because they aren't geared specifically for me and my body, as my combination troche is. If it is taken away and I have to go back to those "one fits all," commercial hormonal therapies, the quality of my life is greatly diminished and basically is over as I know it

Although I did not know it at the time, my drop in progesterone flipped the switch on for terrible anxiety. The kind of anxiety that keeps you unable to shower, interact with loved ones or do anything meaningful in your life. With the constant and diligent care of my doctor, many blood tests and charting my hormonal cycle, I am OUT OF THE DARK! It has been amazing to see the correlation between my anxiety and low progesterone AND the AMAZING change using cBHT has had in my life.
If this option is stolen from me, I am terrified what will happen to my health. Please, for all of us, do NOT take cBHT away!
There is no good reason to negatively affect people like myself with this change.

I used to get so hot all the time, even the slightest activity would cause excessive sweating and my feet got so hot that they felt like they were on fire. After starting progesterone cream, I feel like a new person. This is the only thing I found that helped.

I would wake up 4 to 5 times a night in a pool of sweat and still have to go to work in the morning. I would have insomnia and terrible headaches. Once I was on the bioidentical cream, I felt like a normal human again. I tried the pills for a while, but my symptoms returned quickly. Any time I have gone off of the cream, my symptoms returned. As long as I am on the cream I have a great life. I'm sure that if you have been through this, you would not like to see it removed.

I am very thankful for the option that I have had to go this direction in compounding my hormone needs. I did not want to take a synthetic brand because I have had cancer issues in my family members. I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis 13+ years ago when I lost the sight in one of my eyes. The eyesight returned, but not to normal level. Two years later I experienced another MS attack, and 'lost' first my left leg, then my right leg - i.e. I had no control of my legs. Over some months I gained control back, but not fully. Then I started Estriol/Progesterone treatment, in a form of compounded cream applied on the inner arms. I have not had another MS attack since then -- i.e. 11 years attack free thanks to the compounded hormone.
