“I no longer have painful sex”
I no longer have painful sex. No amount of lube helped prior
“My life is completely different”
I am actually taking the DHEA Suppository for Atrophy of the Vulva. It was prescribed by my gynecologist. At first, I was prescribed Premarin and it was horrible! Nothing but continual abdominal cramps, and itchiness & pain in the vulva area. Sex with my husband was totally OUT, and I had no quality of life. Then I was prescribed the compound DHEA, and my life turned totally around. The cramps, pain & itchiness was gone. Sex with my husband was restored, and I could look forward to a pain free future. If DHEA is taken away, I would have no choice but to go back to on artificial hormones again, and a life of misery. In all honesty, I think that death itself would be better then living a life like that. Sincerely, Susan Efant
“Before taking my cBHT I was always tired...”
Before taking my cBHT I was always tired and would wake up in the middle of the night drenched in sweat. Now I have energy and very rarely do I wake up so hot.
“After my hysterectomy I started bio-identicals...”
After my hysterectomy I started bio-identicals. Five or 6 years later I was told by my doctor that HRT wasn't effective for longer than that, so I stopped. At that point my sleep was greatly affected and I began to have occasional hot flashes. I tried many things short of a prescription sleep aid, but most nights sleep was a real problem and this went on for years. After being diagnosed with osteopenia and osteoporosis, a friend suggested I try HRT again so I talked with my current doctor. She has been extremely knowledgeable and helpful and I began using bio-identicals again several months ago. My sleep has improved drastically, and my hot flashes are gone. For me, the hot flashes were inconvenient but losing so much sleep was the much bigger issue, as it affects so many things. I don't like the idea of a non-natural HRT, the bio-identicals fit my approach to life.

“Extremely helpful”
Without the bio-identical hormones, I have hot flashes every 20 to 30 minutes without ceasing 24 hours a day. I was so sleep deprived before the hormones. They are easy to take or administer and completely painless, unlike the pellets. My sister tried the implantable pellets but could not stand the pain that they caused 24 hours a day and so she had them removed after 3 weeks. Also, all of the other menopausal issues are cleared up with the hormones. Sex is no longer painful.

“I had a hysterectomy when I was 36 years old”
I had a hysterectomy when I was 36 years old. Post surgery, I was always tired, moody, and had decreased libido. I started on traditional hormone replacement and experienced headaches, nausea, and other unwanted side effects. My gyn at the time started me on compounded HRT, the dosing based on hormone levels in my bloodwork. Compounded HRT allowed me to get exactly what I needed and nothing else. My dose has been reduced as I aged, reflection what would naturally happen to me without a hysterectomy. I am now 67 years old, with a wonderful quality of life. I am active (run half-marathons), remain happily married, and accomplished career goals after my surgery that I know would have been almost impossible without the support of this medication.
“As I reached menopause I found the decrease in hormones affected intimacy”
As I reached menopause I found the decrease in hormones affected intimacy. I first tried pharmaceutical estrogen vaginal tablets, a very low dose, and started to experience pains in my head. My doctor recommended compounded cream. I have been using this cream for 5 years with no ill effects. I recommend to continue with compounded hormonal therapy!
“Feeling Better”
Vaginal walls weeping blood from dryness- pain during intercourse - been using 15 years or more - no more dark discharge and no more painful intercourse. Told by an oncologist that as long as hormones applied topically - I had nothing to worry about re: cancer

“Compounded Testosterone cream saved my life!!”
I have naturally low testosterone for my age and it affected my marriage due to having a low libido. My low testosterone has caused my to experience weight gain, low energy, and fatigue. I first started my testosterone therapy using injections, but found the delivery method to be too uncomfortable. Approximately 2 years ago I switched from injections to a compounded testosterone cream and it has completely changed my life. I have a decent libido, my relationship with my wife of 27 years has significantly improved, my energy levels are better, and I can focus more clearly at work.
PLEASE DO NOT BAN THE PRACTICE OF COMPOUNDING HORMONE REPLACEMENT MEDICATIONS!!
“30 years using compounded transdermal hormones”
I was introduced to transdermal hormones, testosterone and progesterone/biest, at the onset of menopause at age 55. My preference was to use natural as opposed to artificial hormones to ameliorate the expected effects of menopause, in large measure because of friends who experienced problems of one sort or another when using synthetics. My husband had informed me that I could have either one hot flash or two warm flashes, my choice, but no more so finding a way to avoid such aggravations was important. (He was joking, of course.) To date, I have suffered neither a hot flash nor a warm flash nor the dreaded vaginal dryness and the idea that a bunch of lab rats and politicians could deny future generations of women the same avoidance of the many potential discomforts of menopause is altogether unacceptable. The medical community bears some responsibility for the broad lack of understanding of the value of natural hormone supplementation post-menopause, but the idea that women would be denied the option is reprehensible. If men went through menopause you can be sure that no option would be off the table, women deserve no less.

“Bioidentical saved my marriage.”
Menopause was hell for me. I once was a very entergenic happy person. Menopause occurred in my early 50s and I became tired , moody, miserable, lacking sleep, enthusiasm. It didn’t t help a marriage. I could have cared less about sex. I started therapy after trying all the ridiculous meds the doctor offfered. The anti depresents, sleep meds, you name it. I went to a bioidentical doctor about 20 years ago. She got me started. I eliminated every single med from the doctor. I kept a diary that expressed my mood, sleep, etc. week by week I got sooo much better. I have my life back. I am happy enthusiastic. I love my life, my husband loves my personality that has returned. My blood work is perfect. Life is good. Taking my hormones would be devastating. Why would anyone do that?.

“cBHT helped with menopause symptoms”
cBHT helped me survive the awful symptoms of menopause: the hot flashes, depression, difficulty sleeping. Why would the FDA take away something that so obviously works for so many?

“Exact Dosage”
I was introduced to compounded pharmacy hormone replacement therapy in 2017. Prior to 2017, my prescriptions were filled at traditional pharmacies such as Rite-Aide, Publix, and Walgreens. The dosage was suggested by my doctors but was never tested to ensure the medicines were working and more importantly...were they working at a dosage well and appropriately for me. I've been on hormone therapy since 2008 due to the removal of my ovaries. I've been the patient of several GYN doctors due to relocating to different places for my career. No doctor ever recommended blood analysis to determine the level of the medications in my body and to critically analyze their effectiveness. In 2017, I became a patient of a doctor who advertised health care for patients needing hormone replacement therapy. After an initial appointment, the doctor suggested a blood test to analyze many aspects but specifically to analyze my hormone panel. Since then, I have the same blood work done quarterly and my hormone medications are adjusted, if needed. Now, I'm taking prescribed medication that provides me with the exact dosage that my body and health care needs, NOT, a random prescription with a dosage that may be proven to work for MOST people. My dosage now is absolutely prescribed appropriately me. Compounding medications should be covered under my health care insurance, however, they are not. Therefore, I pay for them even though they are very expensive. My health and health care are very important to me. I am certain that I am receiving high quality care from my doctor and high quality prescribed compounded medicines.
