I am a 67 year old menopausal woman. I have been on H.R.T. since I was diagnosed as menopausal at age 41 with the confirmatory test of F.S.H. In the beginning stages of this journey, I tried over the counter medicines found in the Natures Outlet store or recommended by my gynecologist, none of which helped, even though there was no history of breast cancer in my family. Also my gynecologist had been somewhat hurtful and strong on her stance of the F.D.A. So since then my Primary Care Physician and his P.A. have supported me in any way to live a comfortable life. This also includes my compounding pharmacist. These previously mentioned professionals have listened and understood what it is to be miserable with hot flashes and night sweats. And by a hot flash I mean a burning inferno that begins in your chest goes over your body and washes the make up off of your face. Night sweats involve drenching your nightgowns and leaving you in a puddle in your sheets.
Even after being diagnosed with covid and being in the hospital for 6 days. The covid caused blood clots in my left arm arteries which in turn shut off blood supply of blood to my hand. I had immeasurable pain and in the long run my middle finger had to be amputated. I had previously stopped the bioidenticals due to blood clotting issues. After being on two blood thinners for several weeks, my PCP told me I could go back on my bioidenticals because feeling better and making a comeback from long-hauling it from covid.
I know H.R.T makes my life worth living, which hasn't always been the case.
