I found myself, a woman with 4 college degrees so forgetful that I couldn’t bring close friends' names to mind. I thought I was having early-onset dementia until the hot flashes and night sweats struck. After over two years of struggling to function and simply perform my basic career functions, I finally went to compounding hormone therapy. Finally, I could think intelligently and carry on a conversation without sounding like I’d lost my mind. Government and insurance companies should be ashamed that they will provide men, through insurance no less, a way to have sex at 90, but will allow women (over 50% of the population) to struggle to simply function in society. Gender bias at its worst. That this idea is even under discussion is beyond imaginable to me.
