My practice involves many facets of women's health issues including spinal issues during pregnancy, postpartum management, pelvic pain and incontinence. Hormone therapy plays a great role in the management of women's symptoms both pre-, peri- and postmenopausal. Many women have problems tolerating oral and over the counter hormone therapies. Compounded hormones allow patients to have the hormone replacement they need through conduits that do not have ill side effects, yet provide effective relief of their symptoms. If the access to compounded hormones gets hindered in any way, this will greatly impact the health and wellness of many women - both in my practice and the nation. As a nation, we have frequently struggled in always providing adequate care for women. Let's not take a step back in our progress toward better women's' health by providing another roadblock to their recovery and treatment.
