Eleven years ago I was struggling with anxiety and insomnia. My doctor prescribed compounded bio identical hormone replacement therapy because my blood work showed that my hormone levels were all very, very low. I am grateful for the help I have received, and I feel much better. I hope that compounding pharmacies can continue the great work they are doing.

After suffering severe symptoms for several years from a sudden drop in hormones forcing menopause after a car accident I decided to try bi-identical HRT. My mom had used RX artificial hormone replacement for years after a hysterectomy at 35 years of age only later to have a heart attack at 48 and breast cancer, (non-smoker, non-drinker, very active person). I will NEVER use artificial hormones. Bio-identical has given me my life back. Strong bones, healthy tissue, no HOT flashes, or mood swings. I feel great at 59 yers old! I can't imagine life my life without it. My gynecologist says it is serving me well.

My quality of life is proof that Compounded hormones (cBHT) are effective. My muscle tone, libido, hot flashes, mood swings, weight gain and everything else that goes with surgically induced menopause were mostly non existent (made bearable) by cBHT. I am now 54 and look much younger and have the physical stamina of a 30 year old. I tried once in the 15 years that I'm on cBHT to quit - disaster, never tried it again! PLEASE HEAR OUR SUCCESS STORIES. We need our compounded hormone to maintain a normal, healthy lifestyle.

Bio identical hormone compounds have changed the quality of my life for the better.

As a menopausal woman, I have been a mess!

After menopause I lost the ability to have intimacy with my spouse . There was shame, anger and a complete lack of any information or education. During my journey through menopause I was experiencing hot flashes, irritability, and my emotions were up and down. It was like I was turning into a different person. My daughter was also going through a rough period with severe headaches and emotional problems during her childbearing years. A friend referred us to a medical professional who had helped her with some of the same problems we were experiencing. What a life changing experience for both us! No more hot flashes, less irritability, and my emotions are more in balance. My daughter was able to get off of the strong pain meds she was on for her headaches, that made her drowsy and at times unable to care fir her children. Hormones made a huge difference in both of our lives!

Mass-manufactured medication did not work for my hormone disorder because I am one of those people who don't convert the ingredients into its active metabolite well. Please don't deprive patients who need these carefully compounded formulas to function and thrive! Compounding pharmacists are genuinely lifesavers!

After my hysterectomy I was placed on Estradiol which caused some unpleasant side effects. Migraines, hot flashes, emotional imbalances and dense breast tissue resulted. Several years passed before I was placed on compounded hormones - what a difference! My emotions stabilized, hot flashes dropped tremendously, migraines disappeared and my dense breast tissue reversed, becoming much more normal. Estrogen tabs can cause lumps or other problems in the breast, but the compound hormones made the tissue normal again!
It’s nice to feel like myself before the hysterectomy was performed.

Prior to being prescribed bio-identical hormones I suffered considerable discomfort and even decreased mobility. Moving across the room was unpleasant. With these hormones I am completely comfortable and mobile. My physician continues to monitor my health, and I have had years of success with these compounds. I enjoy long, daily walks. Please, do not allow patients to lose access to these hormones!

I have been using bioidentical hormones for approximately 10 years with great success! Prior to that, I had been struggling with horrible periods that affected every part of my life. I had to plan my work, my activities, my recreation all around my periods because all the heavy bleeding & clotting caused me to have to change clothes throughout the day. I couldn’t take birth control pills due to their side effects so I was so thankful to have another option that gave me my life back!

I’m new to the compounding world of medicine and I would trust a compounded medication from a PCAB accredited pharmacy any day over a regular pharmacy. Compounding pharmacies make the medication specific to the patients needs. If each human had the same DNA a regular pharmacy might be suitable. Personally I don’t consider myself one of the herd, and I don’t want to get prescribed something made commercially in mass quantities when it can be made specific from results that my blood tests show.
Just because it is the right level of something made in a commercial drug does not mean your body is meant to accept for instance hormones derived from horse urine! I work for a pharmacy that cares and specializes in bio identical hormones and they are derived from yams and are “identical “ to the hormones we humans produce. Horse urine is not ok nor is it identical even though it works it takes longer for the body to accept because it has to mutate to create. So 100% yes we need compounding pharmacies and the medication they make specific to patients needs. Don’t stop us from providing the real reason medication was meant to be made and that is to help the individual not the quantified outlook everyone seems to take on this. Healthcare is about the care of the individual and so is compounded medication. If you Care about the people as a individual and not a general population whom is uneducated on a matter at hand you’ll know why this is so important.

I started my menopause early in my 40, saw my GYN men Dr. and I explained what was going on with my body, He said, your to young for menopause. I have go back and ask him to do the blood work, and they came back positive, I had terrible depression, mood swings, crying not getting out of bed, there answers were to put me on antidepressants, and see a psychiatrist , that did not go well after a year of taking all this drugs I started reading about bio identical hormones, change my eating habits, exercise more and I take my vitamins. my body or metabolism does not agree with prescription meds, So I don't take any except for my thyroid meds. I been on compounding hormones for the last 25 years and I feel better and healthy than my counterpart at the same age I am 65 yrs old, people don't believed my age but I prefer to do and use my compounding hormones than take All the prescriptions meds my friends take, and they are in terrible health, I like my compounding pharmacy I can talk to them anytime I want.

I have been on cBHT compounded hormones for over 10 years and they have regulated my hormones and improved my osteopenia significantly. I have had absolutely no negative side effects and I know my health is significantly better at the over 60 age group than most women and attribute much of that to the help I have received from my cBHT.

I have been using compounded bio identical hormones for more than 20 years with great results. I have periodically tried a more traditional form of HRT, a patch or cream with very bad results. I don't know what is in traditional medications but they cause me migraines every time. And not just minor migraines. Headaches that last for days! Compounded hormones never cause side affects. The only reason I can think that anyone would want to do away with compounded medications is to please big pharma. To eliminate compounded medications is not in the interest of patients like me. I don't know what I would do! Seriously. My quality of life would be impacted in a huge way.

I had a total hysterectomy in my early 40s. I used a hormone patch for estrogen but had numerous unexplained issues. #1 was vaginal burning. After years of no resolution I found a doctor that prescribed compound hormone replacement for estrogen and testosterone. I have not had any issues since started cBHT. If I run out or stop using my testosterone the vaginal burning plus other issues come back. I NEED my compound and it would be nice if insurance covered it as well.

I have used it for 3 years and it is working great! I was having a lot of bladder infections. After using this product I haven't had any! I haven't had any side effects. The cost is less, so I am able to afford it.

After 20 years of trying various prescribed remedies, therapy gabapentin exercise otc medications etc. I find the only effective medication to be hydrocodone/acetaminophen. Which has been really been given a bad rap. I find it harder and harder to find emphatic providers for this medication. I realize this nation has a drug crisis, but there are perhaps millions of us who have legitimate needs. We don’t need the government badgering Heath care providers for this needed treatment. There are so many of us in pain that do not have effective alternative remedies.
