My body rejects most synthetic medicines, so when I had my hysterectomy 10 years ago I went without hormones. 6 months after surgery I was on the brink and I found a doctor who listened to me. My Chemical Imbalance is finally starting to leave off. Only after a year or so. I had Cancer 14 years ago and with all of the chemicals that my body had to endure during that time now, I can finally start to see my body get back to normal again. I don't know where my body would be if there were not compounded were not available for me.

I started having severe perimenopausal symptoms in my 40's - mood swings and night sweats. BHRT has allowed me to feel normal. I don't get hot flashes, I sleep much better, and my moods are very even. I tried going off of it about 5 years ago and it was disastrous for me. I have learned to read my body, know if I am low on estrogen or progesterone, and can titrate my usage as needed. This is life-changing stuff. I cannot imagine what my quality of life would be like without them.

I suffered from vaginal atrophy and had frequent UTIs requiring antibiotics and was uncomfortable and unhappy. I am on several compounded hormones for my post-menopause symptoms and hypothyroidism. I use a naturally compounded thyroid pill which has given me great success on bloodwork. I feel much more comfortable using this versus pharmacological-produced medicine.

Synthetic hormone replacement and bio-identical hormone replacement are NOT created equal. Synthetic hormones make people sick. Bio identicals do not.

I had to have a total hysterectomy at a young age. Having access to HRT's has been a lifesaver for me. It's hard for people to understand the importance of having these hormones and what role they play in a person's life. When I started going through perimenopause in my mid-30s, my naturopath put me on progesterone cream, and in 4 days all of my horrid symptoms went away. Now I also use estrogen cream and I'm so happy not to be putting synthetic materials on my body. These work!

After menopause, I found I had chronic vaginal pain. It was so bad that I was constantly aware of it and it interfered with my concentration. My physician offered me Premarin, the standard hormone treatment, but that caused chronic indigestion and gas pains that were even worse. Finally, I achieved complete relief with compounded estriol cream. I don't want to be without compounded hormones since they seem to be the only treatments that my body can tolerate. My ENT surgeon prescribed me progesterone to help improve the muscles of my throat and tongue so that I could swallow better and have less obstruction to breathing. I was unable to tolerate a face mask so CPAP was unable to help me. But progesterone compounded was easy to take (unlike CPAP) and improved my ability to sleep.

I started compounded BHRT at the age of 50 however I am positive I needed it around age of 40. I was depressed, had severe hip pain, hot flashes, headaches, full-body aches, no sexual desire, exhausted, overweight, and pre-diabetic with an overall feeling of helplessness and full-body pain. I started compounded BHRT and within 3 months all negative symptoms were GONE! Also, my fibrous breast tissue returned to normal. I am not sure I would even be alive without this treatment. I was on the traditional pill until I got a doctor that understood Hormones better.
Even though I need to pay out of pocket for this hormone cream because my insurance does not cover it which is another story altogether, I much prefer this natural version because my body utilizes it differently and more effectively.

I have pituitary issues so without bioidentical hormones, I would not feel well. The most natural to your body. I took Dhea, Progesterone, and later in life pregnelone! These type of hormones are closer to your body producing them! In my case the master gland no longer worked, so these bio-identical hormones took their place! There is no drug that can help this in a natural way.
