Prior to menopause, I had enjoyed a life full of wellness that allowed me to experience life without restrictions. After 10 years of menopause, having tolerated the nuisance symptoms, I was left with a sense of general decline. Where was my vitality? Where was my physical reserve for the sports I enjoyed? What happened to my once perfect bone density? Where in the world was my libido? Why was my brain so often foggy? My doctor recommended bio-identical hormone pellets and compounded oral progesterone tablets. What did I have to lose?
I can’t begin to express how appreciative I am to have my life back! My energy level and libido are once again at a premenopause level. In one year I have shown marked improvement in my bone density. I have sufficient physical reserve to fully participate in several sports and have better muscle mass.

I have been taking 2 prescriptions for hormone replacement therapies for many years. I was waking up at 4 am every night and not able to get back to sleep. My skin was itchy and dry, I was losing hair on my legs and my eyebrows, and I just didn't have the drive I needed to perform at work. Taking bioidentical estrogen, progesterone and a little testosterone helped me feel like myself again. I have been on HRT with compounded hormones for 20 years now. When my thyroid levels started to fall lower, I started compounded thyroid and I am also feeling better. I have an allergic reaction to synthetic progesterone and become terribly irritable. Could never take birth control pills. And when I was given synthetic thyroid at the hospital after a total hip implant, I was talking so fast, that the physical therapist had to ask me to stop talking!! My quality of life would be dramatically compromised without compounded products. Please redo the research and learn the truth. See above

I started taking hormone replacement therapy 10 years ago. I always had hormonal issues and with perimenopause it was extreme. I had all of the rare symptoms. I had cold flashes that would last for hours. Mood swings, depression, night sweats. I was becoming a non-functional person. Using blood tests, my doctor and my compounding pharmacist create prescriptions specifically for me to get my hormones to the levels that I need to function fully. This isn't something that can be created over-the-counter or as a generic pill. The combination is needed by a compounding pharmacist. It has been a quality lifesaver for me.

I have been using Bio-identical HRT for a year now. They have helped me with my sleep problems. The pharmacists were always so patient to meet with me and go over any questions I have and offer recommendations and make changes to the prescriptions.

Please stop messing with our health and medications.

Please stop! Do NOT block our access to compounded hormones. STOP messing with our health!

There are people out there who depend on compounded hormones. Leave us alone. I think Big Pharma has profited enough this past year.

I was introduced to cBHT about 1.5 years before entering my pre-menopause stage. when I went into menopause the hormonal therapy I was taking made the transition much easier and I had fewer side effects going through the hormonal changes. My mood stabilized and I have my hot flashes under control. It has also helped with my thyroid imbalance. This is needed.

I had a hysterectomy Sept 2021 for CIN3 and other medical reasons. After my complete hysterectomy, I was left with immediate symptoms that range from hot flashes to mood swings. If you’re a man you have no business deciding what my body needs.

Thanks for taking the time to read my story. I will keep it brief. When I was 25 I underwent pituitary surgery for Cushing's disease, to extract a tumor. Post-surgery has been all over the place. Here I am 14 years later and I still struggle with finding a balance with my thyroid medications. I’m currently on T3, Cytomel, and I want OFF. It used to work so so well for me. And now all I want are my compounding t3 meds again. I took them years ago and my doctor recently suggested I try them again. The difference is huge! All I can say is it would be TRAGIC to remove this option. The differences include but are not limited to the following-a feeling of a much smoother reaction it doesn’t jolt me like my Cytomel T3, it’s like comparing matcha tea to a strong espresso. I get jittery on the traditional meds! They have saved my life though bc I end up with SEVERE depression off of them. However, something isn’t right- I also have suffered from extreme hair loss, and every time I restart or change my dose of Cytomel I deal with clumps of hair loss. My stomach feels wacky and I get diarrhea all the time. I get hard to describe weird sensations in my head that nothing can fix, but if I don’t take my thyroid meds I’ll be hypothyroid again within a week. T3 also isn’t the problem, I tried T4 and had literally ZERO improvements in symptoms, just dealt with side effects and ultimately felt the same or worse. T3 has been my savior for 1.5+ decades and I’m not ready to give it up. On compounding T3, I have been way more stable, with zero hair loss, a smooth feeling, no weird head feelings, my mood stays up and I’m not depressed while also not anxious (like I sometimes am on conventional T3). Please please don’t take this away. It would be a travesty to soooooo many people. Additionally, the progesterone cream I got from the compounding pharmacy was perfect. I gained weight (20+ pounds) on every other one I’d tried except for this version. Thank you.

I went through many years of menstrual issues and sought solutions along the way. I saw some improvement, but when I found a doctor who listened and put me on compounded hormone troches I knew I'd found the solution!
That was fifteen years ago and the thought of losing that is honestly very concerning.
I wish that each person who will be voting for or against compounding would know someone personally who can attest to its' value. It could make all the difference in their vote.

I was prescribed by my doctor to use hormonal therapy. I found the Premarin cream by the pharmaceutical company to be way too expensive for my fixed income. My doctor recommended compound hormonal therapy and this has been a lifesaver. If doctors are going to recommend a prescription the patient should be able to afford it. I have been using this pharmacy that makes this compound and found it to be safe and reliable. Pharmaceutical companies should not dictate what we use.

My Chemical Imbalance is finally starting to leave off. Only after a year or so. I had Cancer 14 years ago and with all of the chemicals that my body had to endure during that time now, I can finally start to see my body get back to normal again. I don't know where my body would be if there were not compounded were not available for me.

I started having severe perimenopausal symptoms in my 40's - mood swings and night sweats. BHRT has allowed me to feel normal. I don't get hot flashes, I sleep much better, and my moods are very even. I tried going off of it about 5 years ago and it was disastrous for me. I have learned to read my body, know if I am low on estrogen or progesterone, and can titrate my usage as needed. This is life-changing stuff. I cannot imagine what my quality of life would be like without them.

I suffered from vaginal atrophy and had frequent UTIs requiring antibiotics and was uncomfortable and unhappy. After my condition was treated by HRT my UTIs ended and my intimacy with my husband has been restored. It has now been several years and I have nothing but gratitude for my compounding treatment. I hope it will never be taken away.

I am on several compounded hormones for my post-menopause symptoms and hypothyroidism. Before I started my hormones were way off and my traditional doctor said that my thyroid medication was fine and my post-menopause symptoms were just a regular way of life. I could barely function getting up every day was hard and doing regular day-to-day activities seemed impossible at times. Compounded hormones gave me my life back. I can get up, do chores, have life, and travel. I can not go back to a time of pain and lack of energy.
