“Bio-identical hormones have helped me feel alive again.”
I felt tired most of the time and did not have the drive to do all of the things that I love and enjoyed before I went through menopause. Bio-identical hormones have given me back my life. I'm dancing again, I'm sleeping better, and my mood has improved. I have even been able to go back to the gym and work out. Why would anyone want to take this away from us? I am 68 years old. I am a nurse practitioner. These hormones have been life-changing for me. I have no side effects.

“Changed my life”
Not sure where I would be without BHRT. Helped me get through perimenopause. With BHRT I can manage my weight, mood, emotional well-being, libido, skin, hair, bone density, and quality of life. Aging gracefully with BHRT!

“Compounded hormones have restored vitality to my life”
Since menopause, I have dealt with weight gain, low energy, low libido, and anorgasmia. The topical cream, carefully customized by my specialty pharmacy, based on my individual biochemical lab results as assessed by my physician has turned my life around. I’m only 65, and based on my family lifespans I have quite some time left on Earth. I hope very much to have my remaining years kept as vibrant as possible, and these compounded hormone creams enable my daily quality of life and marital relations to be strong, purposeful, and pleasurable. If my prescription is taken away, I’m uncertain what will take its place and do not know if something else will work for me. Why mess with a good thing?
Please don’t restrict compounded hormone treatments made by specialty pharmacies. I haven't heard of nor experienced any problems myself with a compounded hormone product. If the FDA restricts bio-identical hormones to people who are allergic to mass-manufactured products, it will affect and discriminate against way more women than men. This is absurd, irrational, and unconscionable. Please don’t take away my choices!
Pharmacists argue that compounded hormones are highly regulated by each state’s board of pharmacy and accreditation companies. The pharmacist who makes my product is a consummate professional who takes the time to answer any questions and explain details when I need it. I've met no one more competent and excellent at what they do. PLEASE DO NOT RESTRICT COMPOUNDING PHARMACIES.
“Pituitary Adenoma Patient”
20 years ago, when in my early twenties, I was diagnosed with a pituitary macroadenoma. The surgeries to resect my tumor also damaged a large portion of my brain, and cause panhypopituitarism, among other things.
As a result, I was forced into chemical menopause. Since that time, I have been taking conjugated estrogen and progesterone, in part to try to preserve fertility.
Last I checked, my healthcare choices were between me and my doctor. It offends me as a person, a woman, and a Christian, deeply, when people with zero medical training attempt to countermand the expert knowledge of my doctors, based on a book they’ve probably never even read.
As an American woman, I should have bodily autonomy, just like any man.

“I used an estradiol patch to help strengthen my heart muscle.”
Estradiol with progesterone has helped strengthen my heart muscle and prevent osteoporosis. A doctor using robotic surgery put a hole in my left ventricle in 2020. I now have 20% EF with tachycardia. My life has been compromised but the hormones have increased my energy and kept me out of nursing homes.
“Critical Need”
Compounded hormones fill an incredibly large gap that is left by the traditional big pharmacy companies. We are able to customize our medications to the exact needs of our patients. This allows for more precise dosing and a better overall patient experience. In addition, this helps me to avoid any possible side effects or risks that may come with the medication. This is especially critical with topical testosterone and estrogen therapy. My pharmacy allows various concentrations so that I can create a custom treatment for each individual. I have over 250 patients whose lives have improved in drastic ways. These include firefighters, police officers, doctors, nurses, construction workers, and paramedics. These hormone treatments allow these individuals, who have highly stressful and demanding jobs, to be the best and most effective professionals they can be. My worry is that without compounded hormones the price for my patients will increase drastically. Also, we will have to go with less effective medications which will raise the risk of side effects and adverse events significantly. I am extremely disappointed in the FDA for trying to over regulate these specialty pharmacies. The FDA has no business telling me as a practitioner of 20 years what is best for my patients.
“Total Hysterectomy”
I received a total hysterectomy several years ago and a couple of years later experienced vaginal dryness and pain during intercourse. My doctor then prescribed a compounded vaginal insert containing estriol/testosterone which I have been using with success for several years. My husband and I have a healthy sex life and without the compound vaginal insert, I fear that I would suffer greatly. We will celebrate our 14th anniversary at the end of 2022.

“BHRT is a life saver”
In 2020 I was severely depressed, overweight, unhealthy, and in general poor health. At age 55 at the time, I realized that while my primary care doctor and therapist were doing well, it wasn’t enough. I was skeptical that hormone therapy would work but I was desperate. Fast forward two years later, I no longer have brain fog, my depression has lessened a great deal, my high blood pressure, sugars and cholesterol are at normal levels, and I have lost a bit of weight. Please don’t vote against hormones! If you do, it’s another vote against women, and an attempt to control our healthcare.
“Cannot take hormones Orally”
I am suffering from Panhypopituitarism, I don't make my hormones anymore. My quality of life is not good because without these hormones made in a transdermal form I cannot function because I cannot take them orally.

“Compounded hormone therapy helped me get pregnant and have a baby”
I have struggled with hormones all of my life. Starting in middle school when I got my period and had it for months at a time. Finally going off birth control which helped regulate everything, I struggled to get pregnant. I went and saw a specialist for women’s hormones and realized that my progesterone was almost nonexistent. If you do not have progesterone in your body you cannot get pregnant nor will you be able to sustain a pregnancy. My provider put me on natural progesterone and I was able to get pregnant. I have continued on this progesterone because it has greatly affected my life. I may no longer need to get pregnant, however, it is keeping my energy levels up, helping me to get plenty of rest and sleep well during the night, keeping my libido up, as well as helping to balance my other hormones. I do not know what I would do without it, I have been instructed that I should be on this for the rest of my life since my body does not seem to make enough progesterone. I would not take a synthetic medication for progesterone. I believe in treating the whole body and first and foremost consuming good foods for you, getting plenty of sleep, exercise, etc. Do not think that if you get rid of compounded hormone therapy I will just take some sort of a nasty drug because I won’t.

“Excellent.”
I have been using compounded bio-identical hormones for nearly three years. I've had no ill effects and have benefitted greatly from them. They helped with my night sweats and insomnia. My muscle tone has returned, and my body fat has decreased. They also improved my focus and my ability to control my emotions.
I cannot imagine going without this beneficial treatment, and I strongly agree with those who have commented that this overreach by the FDA into my personal health decisions is unwelcome and unacceptable.

“The benefits have been a welcome surprise!”
I started taking testosterone pellets and estradiol patches at the age of 62 due to a diagnosis of osteoporosis.
The benefits of this HRT have been a welcome surprise. I no longer feel sluggish and have more motivation at work and at home. The inflammation in my joints has subsided and my daily dose of Ibuprofen is no longer needed. My ability to recall names and dates has improved. My marriage has also benefited as I have a renewed interest in my husband.
“Best thing ever for my health!”
Saved my life and my marriage. More energy, less fatigue, more muscle mass, less moodiness.

“HRT let me sleep again”
Before compounded hormones, my symptoms were so severe that I didn't get a good night's sleep for years and had night sweats and hot flashes. Hormone replacement therapy is the best thing that I've done to regain my health.
“Bio-identical hormone therapy”
I have been on hormone therapy for 7 years which has helped me tremendously! I have been able to maintain healthy functioning both mentally and physically which would not have been the case without this. I am also a practicing medical provider and am able to work full time at age 62 when many of my colleagues are burned out. I am vigilant with mammograms and Pap smears. I wholeheartedly take care of myself and my patients! Making this unobtainable is a hardship on everyone.

“Life Changing”
I am a 52-year-old woman. I started on compounded hormone replacement therapy over seven years ago, which has been life-changing. I am so grateful to my provider and compounding pharmacist that they were able to work together to come up with the right formulation for me. One size fits all commercial products are not the answer, as each woman is very unique. Please do not take away compounded hormones. Thank you for your consideration.
“I need these hormones to keep me healthy and functioning”
I was experiencing episodes of my blood pressure skyrocketing, feeling depressed, and unwell. It was suggested that I get my hormone levels checked. My hormones were extremely low and needed to be supplemented. Unfortunately, I am unable to take many traditional pharmaceuticals so the only option was a compounded cream. For the last few years I have used this product and had my blood pressure return to normal, my depression stopped and my health returned, and was able to resume all normal life and activity. Using this product is essential for my well-being.

“Bio-identical Hormones are ESSENTIAL!!”
I had a total hysterectomy at 43 and was then given a synthetic patch to wear for menopause by my gynecologist which gave me horrible side effects & worsened my menopause symptoms. I later saw The Today Show talking about bio-identical hormone replacement therapy. I then sought out a GYN & compounding pharmacy that knew of BHRT. I have been on that ever since with NO side effects, I feel so much better, no belly fat, no libido issues, no mood swings, etc. I am now 65 and CANNOT go without and certainly don't want to. PLEASE support the compounding pharmacies. One size DOES NOT fit all So why would a gynecologist give everyone the same patch?? Everyone's hormones are differently deficient.
“Best Health Decision I've Made”
In middle age, I was struggling with physical and mental health challenges. Since I found compounded hormone therapy I've been able to lead a healthier and happier life. Being healthier has reduced my need for other medical care, which has been a very impactful and positive change for me.
“Vast improvement of symptom relief!”
Hormonal creams offer little remediation for menopausal symptoms. Hormone pellet injections alleviated the need to monitor these and I felt like myself for the first time in years. People need this vital service to enjoy everyday life.
