My pituitary gland is not working and I was depleted of hormones, making me lethargic, confused, and off-balance. I also stopped getting my period at age 33 due to this problem. All the medications my endocrinologist tried didn't work and had horrible side effects. Other options which included more tests and possible surgery were extreme, time consuming, and would have cost my insurance and me A LOT more money. Now I pay for my hormone therapy out of pocket, so am saving my insurance extraordinary amounts of money.
