Over the past 3 years I was experiencing perimenopause symptoms and it took this long to figure out what was going on. I was on so many different prescriptions for different things.
When the hot flashes came I knew then I had to change my medication.
I spoke with my ob/gyn and they put me on hormone replacement but it was the patch and pill. Patch wouldn't stay on me because I'm having hot flashes and I live in a desert. Within the first hour it came off. My first thought was 'A man must of made this' to me there was not one single thought of how a women's body behaves in regards to the design behind that.
After 2 hours I was freaking out. I felt angry anxious sad depressed and overwhelmed more than I'd ever felt in my entire life.
It was too much.
So I switched over to compounding. I feel like I'm getting my life back. My life from 3 years ago. I wish I had taken this sooner. It's very important for women to be cared for individually for themselves. This isn't a one drug fits all. I also have psoriasis and noticed the patch irritated my skin.
There are no side effects from compounding which is important to me since I have an autoimmune disease.
