In 2009 and at the age of 42, my menstrual cycle just stopped due to extreme marital stress. For the next three years, I felt I was aging at high speed. My body was wearing out. My joints were achy and wrinkles were setting in on my face. Deep lines were developing on my forehead so I grew my bangs back. My skin and hair were thinning and my face was starting to sag. Mentally, I felt as if I were slipping. My memory and focus were affected and I felt as if my ability to just converse like I used to was affected. It all really started to affect my mood and outlook on life. I finally decided I had to do something. I found a great doctor who tested all my hormone levels and formulated replacement for my low levels and noticed immediate relief for my diminished mental and physical capabilities. It improved my mood too. I am a bit of a health nut, so I chose a Doc who worked with bio-identical hormones. I've done alot of research with the vitamins I take and strive to get the less synthetic more bioavailable options. They are more expensive, but worth it. Compounded pharmaceuticals are truly lifesaving for me. Tailored bioidentical hormones restored me and are of great comfort to my mental and physical well being. I can't believe that their availability should ever be in question.
