I went through menopause when I was 46 years old and it was a horrid experience. I had morbid depression, hot flashes, heart palpitations, and other debilitating problems. When I started hormone therapy, I quickly returned to the vibrant person I had been. I am now 70 years old and going strong. I have had several reductions in the amount of hormones I take and I chose compounded because I believe they are safer. I fully intend to take them the rest of my life because they saved me from a rechid existence. To take this safer alternative away from women would be an act of unspeakable cruelty.
