I was on traditional hormone replacement therapy following a total hysterectomy. I was not feeling right at all and went to a new doctor who adjusted my hormones to me individually by looking at my saliva test results and prescribing bioidentical hormones in a compounded cream that I apply topically. The difference was and is life changing and astounding. That was many years ago and I still go to that doctor and still use BHRT. I live an active lifestyle and feel and function better than many women much younger than me. I cannot imagine being forced back to using another method.
