I started taking bioidentical HRT 10 years ago when I started hemorrhaging during my periods, something I had never done before. I was in the beginning stages of menopause. My iron was low along with my energy. Once my hormones were measured, I only needed one hormone to balance what I was missing. Taking the one correct hormone prevented me from having a medical surgery, ablation. Over the years I have been getting measured and of course, needing more hormones and keeping them balanced. Over the last 10 years, I am in full menopause. My hormone gas tank is empty and unbalanced. Each year I am measured and then meet what my body is missing, balanced. I feel so much better! I am not like the ladies that chose to tough menopause out and that ended up with surgery due to bleeding, or super dry skin, osteoporosis or because they were angry all of the time. I tried the common expensive vaginal pill "vagifem" that my family doctor recommended, and it did not help at all. The hormone specialist recommended a compounded vaginal cream. It actually worked, unlike the well known "vagifem" that did nothing.
I have been very pleased and happy with the compounded hormones that I have been using for the past 10 years. I get results. My husband is happy too.
