I have two autoimmune disorders and when I approached menopause my symptoms were awful. The night sweating, headaches, fatigue, rashes, etc were terrible. Doctors put me on estrogen and progesterone pills. Needless to say, I felt WORSE! I was sick when I took these hormones. I then found a physician who suggested I use the compounded bioidentical hormone cream. This is a much better way to control the amount of hormones in your body. You can easily put less or more on depending on symptoms. Everything you ingest goes through your liver which can be harmful. I have had many friends die from breast cancer and ovarian cancer. None of them were on hormone replacement. Women in their 20's and 30's are raging with hormones and they do not all have cancer. I know many people who are on compounded bioidentical hormones and they do not have any cancer including myself. As the old saying goes: my body my choice. If I choose do do compounded bioidentical hormones that should be my choice. FDA approved drugs from the drug store all come with a phamplet that states all of the side effects which is about two feet long and included on there is death. There is no justification for eliminating compounded bioidentical hormones. Many women's lives are being saved with this hormone replacement. Xanax and anti-depression medications are widely prescribed to menopausal women to alleviate all of the negative symptoms and disease that occur due to menopause. These all have terrible side effects including increase risk for cancer. If they used hormone replacement they would not need those psych drugs. Women in menopause are entering the last years of their life and they should be able to have a good quality of life. Banning compounded bioidentical hormones is probably due to the fact that pharmaceutical companies cannot patent a natural substance and therefore not making money. Women who are on compounded all natural bioidentical hormones are much healthier than those who are not. Hormone replacement actually keeps people healthier, gives them quality of life and every man or woman should have that right. Women are given the choice to murder an unborn baby and that is perfectly legal. I just want to be able to put some cream on that makes my life a whole lot better. Government has bigger fish to fry than my hormone cream. I will choose and worry about my own safety.
