I am a 65 year old retired teacher. My hormone journey began at age 48 when my gynecologist prescribed the birth control pill to help relieve menopausal symptoms such as skipped periods, 2-4 week-in length periods, fatigue, moodiness and brain fog. I had never taken the pill as birth control. After 11 months on the pill, I felt horrible and stopped taking it on my own. This put my body into a horrible state- multiple (10-12) hot flashes per day, inability to sleep, constant anger, worsened brain fog, a JOYLESS life. This went on for several years. With my experience using birth control pills, I did not want to repeat the HRT pharmaceutical route, so I began searching for alternative help. I tried many over the counter remedies to no avail. This led me to bHRT which changed my life! I am a completely different person! I am happy every day. I have energy and enthusiasm for life. My physical well-being has improved. My primary care physician recently had blood work done and it is the best it has ever been. My bHRT gynecologist monitors blood work to make sure that my hormones are balanced which is something my former doctor did not do as part of the HRT pharmaceutical approach. This therapy is extremely important to me. I searched out a trusted physician, I've researched, and I've been a responsible patient.
