Peri and menopause hit me harder than just about anyone I know. I suffered immensely for several months with a long list of symptoms like insomnia, pain, mood irregularities, hot flashes and more. I decided to give it a try, and while FDA-approved synthetic hormone replacement therapy provided some relief, I still had numerous symptoms and poor quality of life. It was until I found a prescriber who helped me through the long process of finding the right balance for me that my life was restored. I felt like I came back from the living dead. I need compounded hormone replacement tailored to ME. I am so very worried that this option will be taken away from me and that I will once again be disabled by symptoms. I truly hope we are allowed access to compounded hormone replacement therapy under the care of a qualified prescriber.
